So I have two dogs, duke, and daisy. Daisy is a rescued weimaraner. She's skittish and territorial. We've had duke since he was a puppy. He's very nice and a big baby. Daisy doesn't like little Kyo. She keeps growling and stalking him. I'm uncomfortable with leaving her and Kyo in the same room. What can I do?

You are right not to leave the kitten in the same room with the dogs.  Make him up a safe space in a room of his own, with his litter box and his food, and maybe a bed if you have one, or else a room with a bed.  Do not let the dogs in there even when you are home.  Kyo needs to know that is his safe space.  Next, you are going to have to do some training of Daisy before further introductions.  She will need to know "sit," "stay" and "Leave it."  She needs to know that little Kyo is YOUR baby and you are the Pack Leader and she must obey you and not even consider hurting your baby.  This may take some time.

Here is an article that helps with introducing dogs and cats http://www.thecatsite.com/a/introducing-cats-to-dogs

One of our other advisors, @ShadowsRescue wrote, "When I brought a new cat into the house last year and we were ready for introductions with the dog, we used a baby gate and yummy plain cooked chicken rewards.  Short sessions to begin.  When we removed the gate, I kept the dog on a leash at all times.  This allowed the cat to feel safe and know that I could control the dog.  It took a few weeks, but eventually they have learned to live together."

Thank you very much. We just tried having the cat on a leash yesterday. Our dog nipped Kyo. He's ok but it scared us. I'm hopeful that this will work out.

We're glad you asked for advice before the kitten ended up getting hurt or terribly frightened.  It's the DOG that needs to be on the leash when you finally make introductions, but she needs some basic obedience training first; the leash is just a safety measure.  Your command should be enough.  Thanks for caring, and best of luck with the dog training.  I know Petco has basic obedience classes that are not too expensive, so you might want to start there.
