There have been so many threads debating the merits of wet/dry/raw/cooked that I am curious what works best for you and your cat.

Abby gets canned wet supplemented with some dry.

*This thread is not intended to start a debate on what is best it is merely to see what the bulk of members feed.

Our cats get mostly wet - a few times a week, I'll mix in some commercial raw as well as homemade raw. Kismet gets more raw than Mo since it entices her to eat wet food, whereas Mo will just eat anything and everything.

In the evenings, Kismet gets a palmful of kibble in a rollable Kong and "hidden" in toilet paper rolls glued into a box so she has to spend the night fishing it all out to eat.

A combination of canned and commercial raw seems to work well for our two cats and their two human servers. One cat eats more canned, the other cat eats more raw.

I recently switched Enya to all wet and I intend to keep it that way. I intend to supplement here and there with some commercial raw. I have neither the know how nor the time to learn how to and then make my own homemade cat food.

Ruby gets a 165g can of Royal Canin hypo-allergenic wet food divided out over the day, plus a few dry treats.

When I can it is all wet Friskies Pate but right now the special needs cats get that and the rest get Friskies dry or Meow Mix dry depending on sale/coupons. Harder to do all wet in summer as we only run 2 window AC's so have to really portion it out.

After learning much on this site - I have switched Malachy to mostly wet.  I have only had him for about 3 months now - my 1st cat in probably 17 years!  I had first started him on kibble because that was what I knew.  Now he only gets a little 'supplemental snack portion' of kibble daily ( about 1/4 c. and he rarely eats it all ) And after much research I decided on Wellness Core once a day (about half a 5.5 oz can) with a little added water & the same amount of a cheaper wet food with a little added water; (usually 4Health at $0.49 a can)  this keeps my food budget at about $32-35 a month ...which is the max I can really spend.  He is approx. 2 years old, a recent neuter ...I have no idea what his nutritional history is (shelter kitty) ...he's just what I wanted though & I intend to do the best I can for him.

Mogli gets prescription/commercial grain-free wet food twice daily with a couple of pieces of prescription grain-free kibble twice a day as a between-meal snack. He gets homemade cooked food for a couple of meals a week.

I feed my two 7-year old boys, Sammy and BamBam, both canned and a little dry (1/3 cup total split between the two). Both wet and dry is all grain free.

Lucy gets her prescription dry because that is all she will eat.  I tried with all of the tricks with wet food, but except for a couple of bites of wet good, she refuses to eat unless she gets dry.

Aoibhe and Kiefer are on a combination of wet food and commercial raw.  I want them to be used to a variety because I can't always get the same food every time.

Carly has some chronic infection going on and goes off her food easily.  She now will get wet, raw, Fancy Feast wet, or dry.  Whatever she will eat.

I feed Peaches canned and she also gets 1/8 cup of dry every day. She does not always finish the dry food.

My feral cats (six of them) get Purina One dry with some Friskies canned food on top of the dry twice a day.

My four 'monsters' aged 9, 10 and 11 get homemade ground raw in the morning and high quality, no grain wet in the evening.... plus whatever they catch at the local 'self-service' in the fields :-)

Our gang gets two cans of Friskies Buffet for breakfast and then again for dinner. The two cans are divided up among the six of them. We feed primarily pate, but will also give them tuna or meaty bits. For birthdays, they each get a can of Fancy Feast.

For lunch and for snacks, Mollipop and BooBoo eat Hills dental kibble, because the kibble is larger and better for Molli. Muffin gets Seafood Sensations (I think it's called) because that's what Mom started her on and she really likes it. The rest of the gang eats Purina Indoor Cat Chow for their lunch and their snacks.

I've always fed dry, but recently switched to predominantly wet when we got a new kitten.  Our senior still prefers dry, so I put it out at night for them.  Plus, it's convenient when we go away so the cat sitter can come once a day instead of two.  In general, they get 2-3 wet meals a day and dry left out overnight.

I clicked 3 boxes.  Wet, dry, and a little home cooked.  After a long battle with chronic digestive issues with one of my kitties, has been resolved finally, I am still very happy to see kitties eating.

I feed dry prescription currently.  Give 100% freeze dried white fish snacks to add a little more protein but never more than the recommended number per day.  He won't touch wet treats like sardines.

With my previous cats I fed dry until they were in their mid teens.  When 'the girls' were older I fed a mixture of wet and dry as I had more money by then - kept them in good general health until 17 and 21.
