Found my 50 yr. old neighbor out front crying this am; his car stopped end of his driveway almost at the street, a small cardboard box sitting on its hood. We've been taking care of mom and at first 5, and after 2 adopted out, 3 remaining now 10 week old feral but people friendly kittens, 2 boys one girl. He said the others ran; later on I found mom walking around sniffing the spot where it happened, and one boy kitten who was huddled in the bushes near there but let me pick him up so I brought him in vowing no more bad outside world for you however after about 10 minutes he saw the outside through the glass doors and started crying; ran to them jumping trying to get out. Although he hissed at me he let me again pick him up and I took him out the back door where they spent most of the time however he ran right back to the front near the driveway and into the bushes where I saw mom but so far not the 3rd kitten and so I still don't know which one was run over this am, (I couldn't get myself to look in the box) nor where the missing one is. Just this am they were all fine and safe in my back yard; why did they have to go out where the dam cars are. Sucks to be highly allergic to them or they would be indoors.
