Well, perhaps later since it's cat-nap time on Mama's desk. View media item 225092
My Wonder Waffle is my oldest cat - he roughly 3 years old (his birth date is unknown; my boyfriend and I adopted him when he was about 6 months old) and despite being my only boy, he's my princess.
These two twins are Munchi  (left) and Cloud  (right). They are a little over a year now (DOB is April 29, 2013) but I am proud to say that I've been there for them since the very beginning. One of my boyfriend's parents' cats turned up pregnant shortly after I lost my first baby boy (Munchies  - he ran away one evening while I was out and he never turned back up) and I never gave much thought about the kittens' paternity until the mother cat went into labor and shortly thereafter, five kittens were born; the first two being a very similar grey to Munchies' grey and a third kitten looking much like one of Munchies' siblings. Munchi, being the first born, was quickly named after their father while poor Cloud was left nameless for about a week until she started crying endlessly during a thunderstorm! I had a strong attachment to the twins since they were born and I knew that, while I still wasn't over Munchies, I couldn't rehome these two small pieces of what I had left of their father. I consider myself very lucky to have them but my, oh my raising two little kittens was rough, lol! Luckily Waffle loved them too and would take them off of my hands for a while to put them down for kitten naps. Now that they're older, my baby girls are much easier to handle and it's much easier for me to enjoy their personalities.

Munchi is a bit stuck-up; she's older than Cloud and she knows it and  she knows she can get away with murder because she's sneaky! Momma said that they were on a strict cat-food-only diet but apparently Doritos and Mexican food is too hard to resist as if you leave either unattended on the counter, she will have it gone before you notice her commit her crime. And often, when she's caught red-handed, it's because her clumsy baby sister, Cloud, knocked something over to draw our attention. Luckily she hasn't ever eaten any spicy Mexican food and is healthy and happy. I'd also like to mention that Munchi has a strong sense for people who need her comfort; petting her makes her feel better so why shouldn't it make you feel better too? When someone is sick or upset, she will refuse to leave their side until she's sure that they'll be okay and such behavior has earned her the future position of being a nurse at my vet clinic when I become a vet and open my own practice. :)

Now, Cloud is a total baby. She's marginally larger than her older sister but she is the biggest baby that I know! Did you know that cats can cry tears? I had no idea until after we picked up our girls from the vet clinic after they were spayed and Cloud sat in her kennel, bawling with tears rolling down her cheeks! Once she was home, Mommy wasn't allowed to leave her alone. Mommy can't leave her alone ever. And she means ever. She's almost always at my feet, unless it's bed time, then she's at my head or next to me, trying to nurse on my hands, despite being the big kitty she is. She probably gets into more trouble than Munchi does but she knows how to work her way out of trouble.

Then there's me, I guess. I'm not anything special to most people but I am the world to my cats. I joined The Cat Site to learn how to take better care of my babies and make friends who understand my strong attachment to my cats because sometimes, I feel like nobody else understands. Not even my boyfriend, who does love our cats, just doesn't express it as much as I. So, hello, here we are. I hope we can all be friends!
