My oldest cat, Storm, is a 17 year old Tabby and he's been with me longer than my husband has.
He's a bit on the grumpy side sometimes, but that's okay.. he loves his mama. <3
Furby is 7 year old Calico and she's a princess through and through, a bit of snob too.
Miles, our 'Juvie' is a 9 month old grey and white striped Tabby. (That's him in my Avatar) Of all my kitties, he has the most personality and is always into something or another. (Like breaking into the treat bag by chewing through it, or trying to steal the human food off the counter LOL) He's a rescue kitten that someone had dropped off at a gas station near the busy interstate, I- 20. (Why?!)
He was 5 weeks old when he became part of our family. He's spoiled rotten now, no doubt about it, and I have to admit I do most of the spoiling.
and finally.. there's the orphaned baby that I've had for several days now, poor thing. She's actually the reason I stumbled across this site, looking for information on hand rearing orphaned kits. She's not in the best of health, she was terribly infested with fleas and severely malnourished when she was found. She's an all black kitty, so tiny that she doesn't even fill up the palm of my hand. We think she is about 3-4 weeks old. I'll find out more when she visits the vet this week. We haven't named her yet, just want to confirm that she is indeed, a SHE. She's still weak but she's slowly getting better. Btw, this bottle feeding business is WAY harder than I remember it being with my son.
Anyway, I'm glad I found this site and I look forward to browsing the topics, posting and meeting new people.
HI neighbor! Welcome to the site from sunny south Florida!! You'll love it here. I'm a first time cat mom to 2 female black persians (Lilith and Sophie) and have a 19 year old human daughter. Everyone here is so helpful and since this is an international site, you can get advice, encouragement and someone to chat with pretty much 24/7.
