Hi there! I gave my cats kittens away to good homes about a week ago!! My cat is still crying a bit and looking for her kittens!! Any advice as to what to do! I've been giving her lots of attention, and also her nipples and belly feel weird! Any help is much appreciated!

There isnt much to do, as I know.  They do seek and sorrow.  Its one of the reasons not to adopt the kittens too early, at least 8, waiting even to 12 weeks, as breeders do: At that time the separation process is going on fully natural.  And they arent nursing any longer, or possibly, just a little.

And yet, the moms are often sorrow after them....  Another trick is to let them go away in portions, so to speak, not all at once.

So yes, try to give her lotsa sympathy and attention, as you are already doing.

(How old were they when adopted out?)

With the teats ist almost the same.   You can put on some coldpressed olive oil.  Or even some mild human preparate for sore woman breasts.   And of course keep  some watch, so she dont get them inflammed.  If they get inflammed - mastitis, for example, you must to a vet and get antibiotics.   Possibly may be enough with  antibiotic paste.to smear on locally.

Good luck!

When a mother cat's kittens get taken away from them, they start to get depressed. My cat got over this eventually and she moved on. As for the nipples, if the kittens have been recently weaned, there should be some milk left in her breasts. This is normal and her milk should dry out in a few days or weeks. Just keep on giving her lots of attention and love.

AW that's so sad! I kinda wanna keep one of her babies so she still has a buddy..and partly bc I wanna keep him. Will they still be depressed the longer you wait to give them away?
