All babies are supposed to come out HEAD FIRST. If you notice little kitten paws before kitten nose and ears, this could cause her some problems. Have some latex gloves handy, be prepared to pull on her next contraction. Do not be concerned with hurting the kitten, your most important job is getting him or her out ASAP.

Every article I have read states that breech presentation occurs up to 40% of kitten births, and are not a cause for concern?

Thanks!! She has no milk and I can still feel her babies. It looks like her belly is dropping but she is still kinda round on the sides!! This waiting game is taking forever!! In so excited to meet the little babies!![emoji]128571[/emoji][emoji]128571[/emoji][emoji]128571[/emoji][emoji]128571[/emoji]
You're very welcome! You should be able to feel her babies about 2/3 of the way through the gestation period. Make sure you are giving her plenty of nutrition in order to fatten her up. Feed her extra, and feed her kitten food. It has more nutrients in it than adult cat food. This will help her produce milk as well. Kittens are an exciting thing, I don't blame you for being excited!!

Yes, it is definitely not uncommon. You did say she was a small cat, which may give her a bit more of a problem than average to large sized cats. Only help her if she seems to be struggling. It is important to let a first time mom learn on her own. Two of my cats are very small(Cici is 4lbs maximum, Nel is maybe 6lbs), also with a petite frame. They each had one breech kitten in their first litter and needed assistance.

Not necessarily. I would estimate sometime within the next week or so though! Would you mind posting an updated photo of this soon-to-be momma cat? Perhaps I can give you a better idea.

Yes, its very common and normal.  Ie as long its  discharge, ie red colored water.

If it is living blood, its not so good, be vigilant.

Good luck!

I believe mother cats should be allowed to eat as much as they want (and kitten food; higher in nutrients).  It takes a lot of energy to feed those babies.

It may only come out with the stimulation of her kittens. If they appear to be eating again I wouldn't be too concerned. However keep an eye out on the situation and consult a vet / get a milk substitute if needed.
