Hi all from West Aus

Hi everyone, looks like quite an informative site! We have a neutered male black and white long haired cat named Felix and about a month ago he befriended a ginger feral kitten from somewhere (we live in the country) and brought him home. He's definateley wild as I grabbed him once and he tore me to pieces lol. But anyway I thought it was unusual behaviour and Felix is a great friend to him even curling up with him outside at night in the freezing cold(its winter here)

Hello down under and welcome to a very addictive cat site. Felix sounds like a nice boy. But look out for fleas and ticks and other parasites from the stray, especially if Felix is cuddling up with the stray. I hope Felix is neutered otherwise the stray could turn out to be your daughter in law.

Welcome from a fellow Aussie - Perth was my hometown, but now I live in Melbs with two Korats.

My mum's cat adopted a cat friend from the neighbourhood.  When I visited a few years later, I noted that the friend was looking considerably healthier...lo and behold, our cat had simply replaced his old friend who died, with a dead-ringer younger cat!  Amazing.  They still hang out and (probably) get fed at both homes.

Myself, I'm for indoor cats.  One of mine would happily stay indoors without a worry - except our other NEEDS to go out.  So we walk him for an hour each day.  And of course our little one can't bear being on her own, so you'll know who I am around here...the girl out walking with two cats
