What's the best soft cat food for an older, 14 year old female calico indoor cat?

That has the least possibility of upsetting her tummy?

And that has the least chance of possible allergic reaction?

And that a cat will love and eat???

She loves chicken and dairy but not fish and before we got her soft cat food, ate hard IAMS chicken for 14 years and couldn't get enough of it.

Our cats eat and love Nutro's Natural Choice chunky loaf chicken. I can't guarantee your cat will like it or not have a reaction to it -- it does have pork broth, though there is no carrageenan -- but it seems to agree with our cats. Nutro also makes Natural Choice soft loaf foods, though I don't feed any of those... I think most of them may have carrageenan, which I try to avoid, though I do occasionally buy a can of the soft loaf duck as a treat.

Good luck!

It's really hard to say what a cat will like. Taste seems to be pretty individual. However, Fancy Feast seems to be well liked by most. The Classic pates are grain and carrageenan free and come is various flavors.

Cool, thx.

I bought some organic soft cat food that is mainly chicken and duck based with no grains and its easier on a cat's stomach. Hopefully this will do the trick but if it still doesn't, can't be the cat food then.

My 16 yr old that has multiple food intolerances (Pork, Grain/Gluten, Dairy, Carageenan, Agar-Agar) LOVES Nature's Variety Instinct Limited Ingredient Turkey. He also likes PetSmart's brand Simply Nourish Chicken Stew, Chicken&Tuna Stew and Tuna&Potato Stew.

One of the softest and best value brands I've found is Pet Valu's Performatrin brand (if you have one in your area). It's $2.65 CAD for a 13oz can and the food is grain-, soy-, corn-, byproduct-, and unless the recipe is for fish, fish-free too. Suuuuuuper soft and smooth. Even after refrigerating, it's got a moussey softness to it.

Will definitely look into those kitty foods, thx.

She is starting to drink a lot of water and no more puking in 4 hours now. Sniffing but not eating her food yet.

Hi!!! I too have a 14 year old tuxedo little lady and her three children are 13. Although Spanky, my big precious boy, does not have teeth on one side, due to having bad teeth,he still continues to eat some dry food as a snack only. They love all of the grain free wet food, and was instructed by my cats only vet to feed  wet food, My 14 and 13 year old have no signs of kidney problems what so ever. They eat natures variety pride or natures variety pate the pride has a rabbit formuls my cats love as well as a chicken and duck formula. Wild calling is another one to try,and you can order the wild calling from Prime pet supply. This company delivers to your door step within 2 days!!!!  Soulistic  is another food to try and is   sold by Petco, and has the chicken varieties!!!  Green can and the orange can!!!! Chewys .com sells the instinct if you want a case and they also sell Weruva cat food that is made by the same company as soulistic.. Hope i didn't confuse you!!! Good luck!!!!!!!!

Friskies my 20 year old, no teeth mamma loved it. Turkey and Giblet, mixed grill, country style, supreme supper. No fish either.

Chicken based Friskies no beef too hard to digest.

Ditto

Try IAM's for senior cats. Even Mamma with no teeth ate them.
