Hello everyone!

I live in Mexico and over the past 2 years my roommates and I have rescued 6 kittens (and a few dogs too...) The lucky first cat, Minou, was a able to stay. I found him as a kitten in a tree with a wounded back leg. Now, he is a big, happy cat. Every time we find a new abandoned little kitty, we do our best to find it a loving home.

About 2 weeks ago, a man stopped his car on the side of the road (I just happened to be walking home there too) he was looking under his car because he heard a noise. Turns out it was a kitten that was inside his bumper! He had been driving with the kitten there. The man wasn't able to pull him out, so I reached my smaller arm and got him. Luckily, he was unharmed and started purring right away. He probably was someone's, because he is very healthy, but got lost. Who knows where he comes from since the man was driving over town.

He is about 4 months old now, I think. I am looking for a home for him. He is super cuddly and  purrs a lot. He is very active, being a kitten of course.

I would love to keep him, but 2 cats in an apartment is a lot for me.

If you live close to Guanajuato and are interested in this loving boy, please let me know.

What a sweet kitten! Thank you for trying to help him.

Have you tried finding his owners? Someone somewhere must be heartbroken about losing a kitten like that. You could try putting "Found Cat" posters up in vet's offices, at pet stores in the local newspaper etc. Be careful about checking out anyone who tries to claim him though, make sure they have photos of him or some other way of proving he really was their kitten. Some evil people try and get free kittens to use for all kinds of horrible things

I am always looking on a website here in town where people post their lost animals. I brought him to the vet and asked him to help me look. The day I found him, I asked every person I saw on the street if they had lost their kitten. Cats are not very popular here.... so I really want someone that loves cats to take him in...

He's a gorgeous Snowshoe Siamese mix, should be very easy to place.  Do charge an adoption fee for him though to rule out unscrupulous people.  I wonder if you know where the car came from that he hitch-hiked in.  Maybe he escaped from a motel where his family was staying if he was traveling with them.

Yes, the driver must surely know where he had stops.  Probably some longer stop with the engine turn off, and him [NOT} around.

Agree also on the snow-shoe look alike and the other advices and remarks you got.   Was you at the vet to check if he has a chip?   If he is a purebred (he may!) he may be chipped.

Good luck!

ps. this reminds me of the story which is going around the world at this moment.  A similiar scenario, a cat apparently stuck in somewhere inside.  The driver did  cut of the plates on half on his engine room...  Yes, they found the cats unharmed.

True, the cars was old and no top notch any longer, but it was the mans only car...

Thanks everyone.

This area of Mexico is not touristic so travelling with his family is almost out of question. And, as I mentioned earlier, cat are not liked here... so it is always a little harder to find them a loving home.

As for the driver, he was parked at work. The cat probably was looking for some shade, and might have come from anywhere really.

I'll keep on looking for someone who will truly love and care for him; meanwhile he is having fun here.
