I once held a kitten that small and boy, their little claws are like needles at that age. I particularly like the second to last picture --- (s)he's like "SUP."
Wally is about 7 weeks old (we think... a lady found him in or around the back of her yard.) ? She emailed me when he was 2.5-3.5 weeks old. As soon as she had him on wet food I think we have had him almost a month.
Cheddar is still doing awesome other than a bit of diarrhea. He is now just under a pound and a half. Does anyone know what type of cat he is?
The sun at certain times of the day make him look like he's glowing. I love my baby. Cheddar is becoming so curious and adventurous. He's found a new spot that he really likes, the shelf under the coffee table, lol. He also decided to cross my leg like a bridge onto the coffee table and jumped off onto one of my dogs Lincoln. Crazy kitty.
Cheddar is sooo cute! He would not be any particular breed so to speak. He's considered a red tabby colored domestic short hair.
Was Cheddar an orphan? How did you end up with him so young? It will be really important to watch his biting and scratching. If he bites or scratches you, give him a firm no, and give him one of his toys. A small stuffed animal or two would be perfect. When he scratches and bites the toy, be sure to praise him.
Kittens usually learn these lessons from mom and their littermates, orphans need us to teach them.
He is gorgeous. I love yhe shots of him eating. As far as most red Tabbies being male, I think the ratio is about 75% male. I have a red tabby female myself, btw.
