Vomiting and bloated belly

The stray girl we took in a month or so back is having ongoing problems, and neither I nor the vet has a clue what's behind it. She has a few issues, including a nasty skin infection that threatens to encroach on her spaying wound, but I'd like to get some opinions on her gastric issues.

When we got her she had a tight, bloated belly, diarrhoea, and was vomiting intermittently overnight. The diarrhoea cleared up after repeated worming, so hopefully that's behind her. Her belly slowly deflated, but after a few days it blew up again and feels really tight and overfull to touch. She doesn't like her sides being touched but she showed no signs of pain when the vet palpated her. The vet doesn't know what's causing the bloating, and could only say that she couldn't feel any fluid there. The cat has, thankfully, gained weight since she's been with us, and has some pouchy fat around her rear nipples, but her tummy definitely doesn't feel like fat. The bloating is towards the front of her abdomen, near her ribcage.

The vomiting did stop for a few days after the second worming treatment, and we thought that was dealt with. However, she vomited again last night. She was hungry this morning but only ate about half of her breakfast and didn't touch her dry food all day. She's been on Amoxiclav since Monday for her infection. About ten minutes after I gave her this evening's dose she vomited again, without having touched her dinner that I gave her at the same time. Vomiting is nothing new but this is the first time I've seen her lose her appetite entirely.

What are the options for causes of her bloating and vomiting? Surely if she was going to have a reaction to the antibiotics it would have shown up before now. After I first brought her inside I thought it was an issue with her diet, but it doesn't seem to matter what I feed her. I'm calling the vet (again) in the morning, but I think it will be a case of 'throw more antibiotics at the cat and see what happens'. I don't know what to ask for from the vet, or what I should be doing with her at home. Any ideas?

Are you positive that you've got rid of all the worms? The have different life stages and perhaps one escaped the treatment, or she got reinfected..
It could still be food allergies even though you feed her different things. She may be having a reaction to a common ingredient, like guar gum for example.
I'm thinking a month inside really isn't that long and she could have some kind of parasite from her time outdoors. You would think the antibiotics would help though, at least if it was bacteria anyway.

She had mucusy diarrhoea last night. I'm taking her to a specialist cat vet this morning. Fingers crossed that they can work out what's causing her problems.

And the verdict is: food allergies! Moving back to the nutrition forum ...
