How many of you think your cat who crossed over or with you now wanted to comfort you with their purring when you were under the weather?   Actually putting their paws on your injury or the area you had pain while purring, etc.?   I had this once very strongly.  Woofie the cat was sleeping in the bed with me he  belonged to my friend  and I was her overnight guest.   I had a brain problem and was preparing for a brain operation.  While purring he placed his paws together on the area of my brain where the problem was. I was very surprised.  Then he moved his paws very slowly about this area in different directions and repeated both paws together and purring.    I was so shocked. I felt he was wanting to heal me .  Could the be??? Sandy B

Oh, I definitely believe this is true.  I had a friend whose cat nudged her abdomen so often and so hard, she finally went to the doctor.  She had ovarian cancer and fortunately is still alive and kicking fifteen years later.  But she credits her cat with making her aware enough that she sought medical advice.  That cat crossed the bridge several years ago but she swears she sees her flitting around corners.  She says it is very comforting that her old friend is still watching over her.

Wish my Maude cat would come visit me  now she crossed many years ago and I  would consider that a blessing.  Thank you for your response. Sandy B

I too absolutely believe this, animals can sense things that are beyond our limited human powers. I can almost 'feel' my departed Chrissy's presence at times, especially when I am needing a friend and need some comfort. My other two boys always try to get on my lap or roll over and demand a rub when I'm down too, they seem to know when a friend is needed. Just looking into their calm, wise eyes can bring a sense of peace. How did your condition turn out, I pray everything is OK now? Please know we are here if you need us, we ALL love to talk about our experiences with cats!

I definitely believe that our cats can sense when we are sad or hurt and in need of a loving touch or smile. Both my cats used to lay with me when I was sick with a migraine or sad with loneliness. They are such incredible creatures and I can't even put in words how much I love them.

Tomorrow will be three months since I lost my baby Domi and I'm just so sad and crying. I miss him dearly and his brother that crossed the bridge January 2013. I can feel both my boys here I'm bed with me. I currently have my moms two male cats living with me and they, too, are cuddled up in bed showing me their love. Baby Kayo (who isn't really a baby) just keeps getting closer and closer to me.

Oh yes, they know. I had a bad fight with an ex, he stormed off and my beloved Poncho... he climbed on my lap and head butted me as I was bawling crying, he was purring kneading my chest, licking the tears off my face, and just rested his paws and head on my shoulder - and buried his head in my neck. Purring. Loving me.

I will never forget it. :rbheart: Poncho
