My cat gave birth to three healthy kittens 12 days ago now and they were all doing very well, including the mother she would even wake the kittens up every hour or so to feed and toilet them. We made beds up in nearly every room in the house so that my cat could choose where to give birth and she decided on my bedroom! At around 5:30 in the morning I heard the kittens meowing quite loudly which was unusual for them as they usually only ever made a noise when their mother stood on them accidentally or something! However, being half asleep I didn't really think much of it, but after waking up at 7am I checked on the kittens and they have just disappeared! I have searched everywhere in my bedroom and can't find them anywhere! She couldn't have taken them outside or anywhere else in the house as my door and windows were shut. I'm very worried that she might have eaten them although there is no evidence that she has. The mother doesn't seem to be looking for them either, please help!!!!!

Lets hope she did hid them somewhere.  Healthy kittens can manage without moms help a good while, even over 24 hours, unless the circumstances are very bad, like cold or hot.

Moms eating up kittens happens, but typically it is two situations: they are dead, and she cant take them away.  Or she is panicked into extremis...  None of that seems to be at hand here....

Lets hope for the best!   @BeckieT1995

Good luck!

Thank you so much for the advice! I have just found the kittens 12 hours later! Somehow Misty the mother managed to move them to the top of my wardrobe!

Hooray!! I am so happy for you. What are you going to do now? I should not think that is a very safe place for them, whatever mama may prefer!
