She's not a cat, nor did she belong to me. But she was the sweetest little Maltese at 15 years of age. I pet sit for her, and was supposed to pet sit for her next week (and two weeks in July). I wanted to share this since normally, I am not a toy dog fan (as they're usually nasty and yappy- at least ones I've encountered), but Teacup really made a home in my heart.

She decided to stop eating. The vet confirmed kidney failure and they decided to let her sleep.

I am glad to have gotten to known this little pup- and had my last walk with her last week. In the last walk, I knew she wasn't going to live much longer- she had lost so much weight and was unresponsive, though she did make the full walk around the block without complaint. She was feisty when I pet sat for her 2 months ago- I even bought her a toy that she loved- even though she showed her age.

RIP Little Teacup. I will check in on your mommy often to make sure she's doing well.

Poor girl, but she had a great, long life at 15! Gotta love their feisty little faces.

RIP Teacup

Such a nice tribute for your friend's dog. Hope Mom is hanging in there okay.

Rest in peace, Teacup.

Sorry for your loss @Draco.  All the pets we get to know add to our lives, so it is sad when they have to leave. And I do know they really appreciate those that care and feed them, when their owners are away.  May Teacup play across the bridge.

I'm so sorry for your loss and for Teacup's mom.  Please share my condolences with her and let her know that there are people out here who care about what she is going through.  I wish her well.  And bless you for looking out for her.

Thank you for mourning the loss of such a sweet little soul and helping her family through their pain, you surely will be blessed! I sometimes think they don't live as long as we do so we can help and comfort them when they have to leave. They are a part of the family and a part of our very souls that will be remembered forever in our hearts. Thank you for letting us know about sweet little Teacup, may she RIP.
