If you've already tried to vote for this month's Picture of the Month Happiness! Contest you can probably relate to the difficult time I've had today choosing our Picture of the Week... Lots of excellent photos of cats were uploaded this week making this a tough choice, so much so that I felt compelled to highlight some of the runner-ups as well. ]
This family was hard to resist especially since they came bundled up with an amazing rescue story: Kittens rescued from a pick up truck

Then again, kittens have a tendency to steal the show, don't they? Just like fluffy Paxetta in @cccdlx's album:

Or simply staring into the camera like @MeowKittyMeow' s Morrissey (I confess, I have a spot soft for cross-eyed colorpoints!)

Believe it or not, there were even more awesome kitten pictures (I purraised the ones I like the most, so those who submitted them know I loved them). It's not all kittens though, we've had some great adult cats shots too.
I loved this excellent close-up shot added by @NewCatwoman to our Cat Close-Ups album.

Chosen for the interesting composition where the focus is on the eyes (the theme of the photo which appeared in the Show Me Your Eyes thread) of the cat at the front of the picture, echoing eyes once more in the cat further to the back. This family was hard to resist especially since they came bundled up with an amazing rescue story: Kittens rescued from a pick up truck

You can help highlight the best content by showing us what you feel are awesome pictures. The way to do that is give purraise to the actual image. If you follow the Recent Photos link, you'll notice that as you click a specific image, you'll see the green Thumbs-Up icon under it, in the right corner. Click it to Purraise the picture. You can also do that by clicking an image in a gallery or a forum thread. Make sure you purraise the image and not the post or album.
There's a link where we can check and see the pictures that got the most Purraise. Right now, members don't tend to purraise images, but hopefully as that changes in the future we'll be using it more. The purraise rankings will be checked each week and they can definitely be your way of influencing our choice!
