What is your absolute favorite meal of all time, regardless of price or time to prepare? Something big happens in your life and you've decided to celebrate with the ultimate dinner. What are you eating? Easy choice or decisions, decisions?

For me, I'd have a filet mignon, a super loaded baked potato, and a house salad with plenty of ranch and croutons. Chocolate souffle for dessert.

Pretty easy decision because I don't eat red meat very often, and I never get filet. Too expensive. I've always wanted to try Beef Wellington, for example. But I've never had the opportunity. I do also really, really like hot chicken curry with raita and garlic naan, but I can budget for that more easily than the filet.

I'm not hard to please - this dish is pretty cheap, full of grease and beef, and absolutely delicious: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beef_chow_fun

I can't make it though. I don't have a wok (and a big wok gives a lot of stir fried foods an "airiness") and I'm too slow a cook, so I can't do quick things on high heat or they'll likely burn.

Does the meal have to belong together? If not, add to that my mom's baked ribs, a Caesar salad, a poutine, and a La Rocca truffle cake for dessert, and

It's an easy choice, because I love all those things, but they don't belong together at all... and they're all very heavy so I could see that being a last meal if I ever wound up on death row. Any one of those dishes would fill me up just fine!

Off the top of my head, probably a low country boil.  But it must have crab legs, shrimp...not just shrimp.  So many places here "cheap out" and don't do them right or charge an insane price for it.  When I lived in ATL, two brothers I was friends with used to make it and made it right.  I haven't had a good low country boil since leaving ATL...and I live on the coast!

I feel you on beef!  I love beef and don't get to eat it often.  I like the fattier cuts like chuck roast and ribeyes.

Something else I've never tried but always wanted to is bouillabaisse. Difficult to find a place that makes it here, and it's expensive as well!

Standing rib roast, twice baked potato, a salad with everything in it, and homemade yeast dinner rolls.  No dessert, I never have dessert with a large heavy meal, at least not right after the meal.  Maybe apple pie later.

Best meal ever...Prime Rib and crab legs!  Crab legs so fresh you can taste the ocean!!!  With a side of fresh steamed broccoli!

And for desert...a small slice of German chocolate cake!

Chicken fajitas! With lots of thick red fried onions, fried peppers of each colour. Topped with Pace salsa (LOVE Pace) and mashed avocado, and a ton of sour cream.
