Are Feline Porta 21, Porta 21 Holistic, Yarrah Cat, and Nature's Menu good quality wet foods?

I was wondering if any of the following are complete and good quality wet food brands; Feline Porta 21, Porta 21 Holistic, Yarrah Cat, and Nature's Menu. I have been feeding Mew the raw grinded diet and as of now, he refuses to eat the raw diet without any wet food. I've been feeding mixing the raw food with Applaws for now. I know that Applaws is really good quality food, but it's not complete. I would like to mix the raw food with a wet food that is complete. Some days I also feed Mew just the wet food like Applaws, so that's also a reason I would like to get a complete food. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about any of the brands I listed above since I'm not sure if they are bad or good cat foods and if they are complete or not. The only food I know that is really good on the list is Nature's Menu which is a good option since Mew loves shredded meats, but I would also like to consider other options if they are good. Thank you.

They look pretty good to me - I prefer to avoid jelly and gravy recipes though, and choose pates since they'll be a better deal when it comes to your money, and provides more nutrition and protein than the jelly would. It looks like Feline Porta has a lot of fish-based flavours, so if you have concerns over sealife and mercury levels or potential urinary issues (which people say can sometimes be attributed to high phosphorus and magnesium levels in fish-based foods), try to limit the fish foods you feed.

I did notice that some of the Yarrah Cat recipes have "cereals" listed (grains and corn). I'm pickier with wet food, and I know there are a few well recognized brands that aren't 100% grain-free but most can afford to be corn-free. Corn and soys can be used to bulk up the protein in food, but it's a plant-based protein that doesn't provide much for the cat. If you have the option to buy ones that are minimal or grain/corn-free, I would opt for those first.

Thank you so much for the input. I would also prefer to use Pate style foods, but I haven't found one yet that Mew likes. I've tried Catz Finefood, Animonda Carny, Grau, Granatapet, and Feringa. But Mew didn't like any of them from the start. I've tried giving those brands for several months, but he never liked eating them and would never finish his serving. The only good quality food he loves is Applaws and Almo Nature, but those are only complimentary. Wow I didn't realize Feline Porta had so many fish based flavors. I do want to avoid to many fish based flavors since I heard it's not good for cats to have them a lot. I didn't realize Yarrah cat has grain and corns in it. I also don't like to feed foods with grain in it since it's more difficult for cats to digest. Thank you for your suggestion!

Anytime! If you already have a raw diet going for Mew, I don't see any problem with getting shreds to mix when available. It sounds like you just want something to supplement his raw to get him to eat it more readily - if he likes shreds, mixing your ground raw into it will make it an easier transition! Once he starts digging in, you seem to have the nutrition side covered so nutritional value/protein of shreds vs pate isn't as relevant in your case.

I did hear that the Bozita Tetra paks are alright, but not the best wet food.

I do have a raw grinded chicken diet going for Mew. Me and my husband made our first batch a week ago. :) Unfortunately Mew didn't take to the raw diet naturally and wanted nothing to do with it. He wouldn't even smell it. I think the Salmon Oil or the other vitamins could be to strong for him since he has no problem eating raw food without any supplements. I add a little of the Applaws in with the raw food and it does help him eat it a lot easier. It's the only way I can get him to eat even a little bit of it. I do know that the Applaws isn't really a problem since it has the raw chicken diet to make it complete, but sometimes we feed him just the wet food without the raw food. So I would really like to get him a complete food for when we don't add the raw chicken with it.

Nevermind about giving me your opinion on Porta 21, Porta 21 Holistic and Yarrah Cat. The Porta brand has to many fish based flavors which is something I didn't realize. I don't like Yarrah cat either since I found it it is Grain and corn products. Thank you pinkdagger for letting me know.

I did find a few brands on Zooplus that I've never seen or heard of before. They are Schmusy, Schesir, and Miamor. I would really appreciate it if anyone can give me their opinion on those brands since I don't know anything about them. I believe they are all Pate style wet foods, but please let me know if they are not. :)

The only COMPLETE shredded food on Zooplus is Thrive. All the others, Schesir,Porta 21, Miamor file are supplementary. These are all shredded.

Schmusy cans are pate, Schmusy pouches are chunks in gravy. Miamor has a pate line that is complete. By the way, Porta 21 holistic is pate, not shredded. I will soon makd a thread with European foods and photos, as I have tried every single one on zooplus.
