Have 4 stray 4 week old kitten so since Saturday. The 5th one died of unknown causes in my horses shelter.no signs of external trauma. Remaining 4 are very under weight. (10 oz) and temperature 94 to 99. (Took them to vet Saturday). I got three now active playing and doing better. The weakest (calico coat color) is went down hill fast. 2nd vet appointment on that Monday kept her under surveillance for dehydration, constipation and low temperature of 97. She is on a feeding tube of science diet prescription (higher calories than nor.al science diet) of 5th of water mix with be cc food now per 3 to 4 hours. She did had suppositories but now having diarrhea leaking out. All she does is sleep. No strength to walk. Barley sits up. All on medication for worms and ear mites. In named Her (vet staff thinks a girl) Hope as I hope she makes it. Thinking give her a day or two to show positive signs before euthanasia. Mama cat is farrel, hard to catch and barley cared for them (obvious their health). They have heat lamp for warmth and fluffy beds I change out daily and her towel hourly due to pooh. I hope I don't give up on her too soon. Any thought or suggestions?

Im no specialist but...  Can you get goat milk?  fresh is best, bottled is OK.   Many rescuers gets good result with goat milk.   If salomonella in eggs is no problem at your place, you can even add one yolk (yellow) of egg into this goat milk, it gets even more nourishing.

So a try with goat milk will be my suggestion, if you can get it.

Kitten replacement milk  of the brand KMR, in powder, is otherwise what many seasoned rescuers recommend.

KMR ready made in solution is not so good - tends to give diarrhea.

Can you carry her at your chest?  Its quite potent.  also she hears your heart, so it adds to her will to live..

You can have her in a sack.  Easier to carry, and you dont need to get the poo straight on you...

If she is weak, you can perk up her some by smearing a little glucose sugar on her gum (brand name may be Dextrose or Dextropur).  If you dont have it, you can use some honey or white caro syrup.

Most brands of kmr does contain some glucose, but Im not sure if this Presription diet contains in.  Othewise, you can yourself add a little glucose. It cant harm.

You are sure she get enough fluids?  Best is some form of basic pedialyte.

You can make it yourself from glucose and salt.

Good luck!          @ranchmama21

Thank you for reply. Vet now has her on the part water with prescription science diet as of yesterday. She previously was on Hartz precision replacer ready made as the other are at stores that carry it but closed by time got there. Didn't want to switch one to other afraid of digestive issues. Started to mix with kitten food and she declined dramatically. Vet doesn't think that was issue.Just weakest of group and very emancipated. my vet is not there today but will call in morning whether Hope needs to be euthanized as don't want her to prolong if no improvement. I will have to network for goats milk but will see if that will benefit her at this point or keep in mind as future reference incase it is too late for her.i will look into your suggestions. Worth a try.

I'm so sorry to hear that.  At least she knew love for a little while.  With body temp of 97, though, she was already on her way out.  Yu can find goats milk for the others usually in dairy section of some supermarkets and WalMart.  KMR in powder form can be found at many feed and farm supply stores. Since 2 of the 5 kittens have died, it is possible they have some illness already going on, but KMR is excellent for bringing back emaciated kittens.  I don't know where you live, but the Tractor Supply chain of feed stores is in many states so you can search and see if there is one near you.
