Hi there
I had my 5 year old Violet eating a pretty good diet of canned Fussy Cat and Newman's Own dry. She was doing pretty good, but then I brought in my new cat Ellis. He came with Purina Pro from the shelter. I kept him on it because I didn't want to change him over too fast. I introduced the Fussy Cat, and he was hooked, I tried to slowly move him to the Newman's Own, but he won't really touch it. He has to be desperate. I wanted him to eat, so I kept him on the Purina Pro.
My cats integrated, but Violet found Ellis's food, and after that, she wouldn't touch the Newman's Own dry. So, now I've got two cats on the Purina Pro. I'm going to wait about a month and finish off the big bag I got, but I'm going to have to move them over to something eventually. While they will eat it, the Purina Pro just doesn't have the best ingredients. Has anyone moved a shelter cat off of Purina Pro? It seems to be a bit like crack. What was the easiest food to move them to? Thanks!
