My new kitten, who I have named "Bunny" walks like she has a nerve or muscular disorder. almost like she is partially paralyzed. she was like this when I got her, but she picked me.You know how it is. anyway she basicly hops like a bunny rabbit, and also seems to have no control over her bowels or bladder. has anyone seen this before? she is otherwise a super sweet, cute little angel, and i love my kitty. any ideas on how i can help her?

Hi and welcome to the cat site!

Can you tell me where she came from, or if you have any history on her?:

I want to say she possibly has cerebellar hypoplasia but the incontinence doesn't fit.

This is not bad as it sounds, it is simply when the momma cat was pregnant with her, she was exposed to panleukopenia virus, which causes the unborn fetuses to have an underdeveloped cerebellum, causing the imbalance, stiffness, odd walk.

Never gets worse and no pain at all, but curious about the incontinence......

Can you give more details, age, etc?

Does she have a tail?

Does she have a normal length tail?   Kitties with Manx syndrome do the hopping thing and are often incontinent.
