Hello everyone,
I can't seem to find a "natural" (no fillers, by-products, corn etc) food for my cat, that agrees with her stomach. I adopted her roughly 6 months ago, and she was eating Purina Pro Plan Indoor turkey (dry) only. I didn't/don't like the ingredients one bit so I wanted to change. I decided to try Blue Buffalo Salmon (dry), and a mixture of Blue Buffalo wet. After several weeks of transitioning, it was clear that the food was not going to agree with her stomach...she had bad diaherra
I then switched back to the Pro Plan (dry) to get her back to normal. Long story short, I then tried Halo chicken grain free (dry and wet), then Halo turkey (dry and wet). It seems she transitions well, right up until the first week of 100%, then her poop gets really soft, and runny. She seems to be able to handle the wet, but not the dry. She still gets a variety of Halo and Wellness wet in the evening, but I want to find a better quality dry for the morning.
I'm at a loss....can some cats never handle high quality foods? I have been reading that wet food is the way to go, but she absolutely loves her dry. Is there a middle quality dry food anyone can suggest? Not too rich in protein, high in fibre, and no fillers/by-products?
She's a 1 and a half year old, medium hair, fixed tabby
Thanks in advance!
