I didn't know any onther place to post this, but kudos to this forum and their kind and supportive members.

Far too many online forums contain condescending, unsupportive trolls - but I just don't find that on this site. I lurk more than I post, but rarely see altercations, etc. ...Not to mention that everyone is friendly and it's like a little family.

So Yay to the Cat Site

And thanks to those that understood, supposted and helped me get through my most recent kitty dilemma

I agree! This is literally one of two forums (and the other one is both iffy and long dead) I've ever been on where the atmosphere is welcoming and the members are mature - no personal attacks, no judgement, no trolls, very seldom any snarkiness, and everyone genuinely looks out for each other. It's like the diamond in the rough of the internet.

I totally agree! This is the most mature site I've been on in a long time! Everyone is helpful and supportive, I love it.

I think most people here genuinely mean well.  And I know how much I've appreciated help from members here.  Whether it be helping me expand my cats' raw menu, or other ideas that help keep my cats safe, happy, and healthy.

Another to agree here,  I love this site too!   When Angel went through cystitis 3xs in one year,  I got so much support & helpful advice here. (Especially sense I am a first time kitty mom).

I have also learned SO much here!  (& pass it on, anytime I can help someone else)   It is been nice meeting such great people here!

I think TCS definitely surpasses most other online cat forums in terms of ease-of-use, readability/format, member expertise and etiquette. When I'm in one of my research frenzies (

), I have ended up on other cat/pet forums and I get so frustrated because their reply and quoting system is ridiculous and/or the thread goes off topic (it starts out as feline diet, for example, and ends up at people talking about their favorite grocery store) and/or the whole thread is just bickering. I end up just coming right back to TCS. 

  TCS does a great job of monitoring, too, which I think is a key component. I have to say, one of the things I observed early on when I was lurking was the written word. The posts here are intelligent, thought-out, and well-written. So schmart.

It's so wonderful getting this kind of positive feedback - thank you! 

I take pride in TCS being well-moderated. We've been around for 14 years now and over the years we've seen over and over again that we can help more cats by insisting on a friendly and supportive atmosphere. 

There's a lot going on behind the scenes to keep the site free of trolls, spammers and flame wars. The TCS moderators work very hard behind the scenes to accomplish that (trust me, there's never a dull day in the private Moderators forum!) Big kudos go to our team of mentors who welcome each and every new member and show them the ropes around here, and to our advisors, who hover around the forums to make sure all questions get answered!

Well you and your moderator team do a fantastic job of keeping this a warm and supportive environment, regardless of a posters' kitty experience level. Thanks again, this really is one the best forums I've come across on the webs. And I am one of those "research things until I can't see anymore" types (Capricorn *eyeroll* - lol)
