Happy Thursday everyone :wavey:

I'm loving the warmer weather and the lighter nights now that summer is finally on the way  :sun:
The only thing I'm NOT liking is all the butterflies about now - I am absolutely petrified of them! :shocker: :lol3:
I'm don't mind any other bug or insect at all, just butterflies :paranoid:

So today's question is -

Do you have a phobia of anything ? If so, what is it ?

Morning GemsGem!

The dark is my worst phobia.

Other than that, I'd have to say snakes and earthworms.

Ugh, l can handle anything else, any other bugs, snakes, worms, whatever. But spiders horrify me.

Me too!  I get the willie's over the palmetto bugs (giant cockroaches) and such, but I'm most afraid of spiders.

I don't know if I have a specific phobia, but I am VERY squeamish - to the point where I don't even want to take a shoe to them, because it means I still have to deal with the corpses afterward - about spiders, centipedes, millipedes, maggots, and roaches. I know they have their purposes, but do they really have to be so ugly and scuttle everywhere they go?

I am petrified of cockroaches and centipedes (or anything with more than 8 legs.. I am OK with spiders)

My apartment would get the occasional roach.. and one time I had a FLYING roach.. and I literally screamed! My neighbor had to come over to make sure I was OK.. he saved me from said roach!
I also had to call him another time to get rid of a dead roach for me.. my cats like to play with them and leave them around for me to find. UGH.

and Elephants. Dunno why, I used to ride them.. but now.. ugh.

I don't like plants.  Especially leafy or viney ones.  Or ones bigger than me.  With leaves bigger than my head.

And yes I still garden.  It's progress for me. My husband helps me harvest and I do better if I wear gloves and sleeves (when things are big) and can keep things far from my face.  I took one of my husbands old dress shirts to wear in the garden in the summer.  Using raised beds means I can walk around the outside for a lot of it.

I'm not a fan of bugs either. Especially things with lots of legs.  Spiders get the squish from me.  Sorry.

I have the unreasonable fear of snakes.  Now that I live in an urban area I don't see them anymore.  I grew up on a farm though so I was always seeing them during the summer.  My mother also had a phobia about them so that's probably where I got it from.  Mom wanted any snake she saw killed, she was too scared to do it herself.  My father didn't want them killed because they helped control the rodent population.

Ticks. There's very little that bothers me, but I hate those things because of all the diseases they carry.

I'm terrified of walking under trees with low branches or being near trees when it's raining. It's worse when the trees have leaves. I get in a panic and if I have to go under them I run.
Yes I'm a weirdo.

Most bugs big enough to see from a distance scare me. I also cannot be anywhere near balloons and really loud thunder (haven't had those since I moved here, thankfully).

Fear of clowns seems to be common, I wander if it has something to do with exposure as a very young child.  I could see how they would be scary to a young child and it carries over into adulthood.
