If I posted this in the wrong spot I apologize in advance to the mods.

For anyone whose tried to help me with Mister, thank you and a quick update:

Due to family health problems I make twice monthly trips overnight with out Mister.

I came home today and was instantly worried because he did not come running to yell out his greetings (and demands for love) after my absence. I found him asleep in the bedroom, and quickly noticed he seemed "off" and very sleepy.
I checked his litter to clean it and noticed normal bathroom deposits and urine.
I then went to his food bowl and was surprised to find left over wet food (that NEVER happens, which I why I leave it out when I go because it never goes bad) and very little dry food missing, though he had drank a decent amount of water.
He came out of bedroom and was very quiet, and while he was being petted seemed still off and not his clingy self at all. In fact, he sat away from me on the couch.
Upon further inspection I noticed his gums, tongue and eyes were paler than normal, almost a white pink color, and his ears and nose were very cold, but his breathing was up.
Although I can't really afford it, I am taking him to emergency clinic (they didn't have appointments), so I please beg for any good luck, wishes, prayers, etc that this isn't life threatening and that I can give him whatever he needs both financially and medically.
I will keep everyone updated and try not to be too panicked or upset...
Please keep Mister in your thoughts and cross your fingers for us.

Sadly,
Fiona + Mister the Cat

Thank you all for your well wishes!
Luckily for mister and I, it was a couple of minor things that made him act so strange.
Turns out the skin issues I've been fighting is an severe reaction to (probably) an old flea bite long after the flea had died. Due to that, he had been hiding an infection in a couple spots of his skin due to over grooming and itching.
Also, he has a bad tooth that will have to be completely removed. It is back by his molars, so it was hidden from view (and cats hide pain, uggg) but won't effect his eating ability once it's gone.
He got a antibiotic booster shot, flea dipped, steroid shot, a mini teeth cleaning to help ease the pain, anti itch/biotic pills plus water stuff to help his teeth in the future :/

I am late to your recent thread here, but very happy to read that things turned out okay. You must be so relieved.

Hoping Mister can return to feeling completely well and himself again soon.

Slightly irritated I woke him up for the pic
lol but he's already acting better than he has in a month! Whew!
It's a great photo update....even if Mister is like..."hey, I am sleepy...so I'll only be waking for lunch"....

Glad to hear that the vet was thorough, and that Mister is on the mend.

Thank you everyone!
I'm glad it's nothing too big too. But he will have to have his tooth pulled out after we've gotten him back in better shape. Vet says if I don't the infection will spread again and make him sick :/

Must be hard to know he will need surgery once he is better from the current infection, but huge relief to find out what has been wrong with him all this time.  At last a vet who as able to identify what was wrong with him, and sad the others were not able to do so and save Mister some of the pain and infection. Good for you knowing him well enough to see he was not his usual self recently, and then to get him to an emergency vet when he was so subdued. Mister is a very lucky cat to live with you.

I hope the treatment he is now on help him feel better quickly, and that when he is scheduled for the dental surgery all goes smoothly for you both.

Good for you for noticing his "off" behavior and getting him to the vet in a timely manner.  I know it wasn't planned and must've been disturbing upon coming home to him.  Continue feeding him the wet food as that will be easier on his tooth.  Hopefully, his tooth will be pulled soon and he'll be back on the road to recovery.

Thanks guys :)
He has to wait about 2-3 weeks to be back to the best health possible before going under to have his tooth pulled. It's pretty spendy, but only I could of fallen in love with such a spendy kitty lmao
He's acting great already, back to playing and being his usual self, though he is kinda cranky because the side effect of the medication is hunger/thirst and the vet warned me not to over feed him [emoji]128514[/emoji] but he is very happy that he is on a primarily wet food only diet with a small offering of dry during my work day.
