do kittens grow out of nerve damage that makes their back legs weak and/or knock-knee'd? I ask bc my Wobbles has been mostly walking this week, hardly any scooting...

I am glad Wobbles is doing better!

I am not aware that cats or any other creature can 'grow out of' nerve damage though, so I'd guess that probably something else was/is going on.  Really, the best person to discuss this with would be a vet.

 to you and Wobbles.

yea its just the weirdest thing..she always could use them but more often than not she would scoot around the house...i do have kittens that have just begun to frolic and play about and she has been VERY enthusiastically chasing (on her feet and scooting) them allover and throwing herself (yes quite literally THROWING herself lol) onto a cornered playmate to catch them...but more and more she is walking but when she does he back end looks almost drunk very very uncoordinated and very very knock kneed..but she's walking...how can i upload a vidoe for all to see? I do know that she needs a vet visit and I'm not asking for any kind of diagnosis or anything, just wondering if anyone has ever seen anything like this --

Do you have plans to have these kittens spay or neutered?

Was she diagnosed at a vet with nerve damage or that is your best guess?  Other things can be going on that treatment could help.

I don't have much experience with what you describe above but am very, very glad and encouraged to hear that Wobbles is walking better AND HAPPY !!!! Good sign.

She likely has Herpes in her eye. It is very common and many of us deal with a runny eye due to an earlier Herpes infection. Once infected, a cat may always exhibit some symptoms from time to time. You can pick up some L-Lysine. It is rather inexpensive and easy to mix in wet food and very, very safe. I use this brand for my Herpes kitties which I have two.
You can start at 500 mg. twice daily (1/4 tsp.) for 10 days then, if improvement, go to 250 mg. twice daily (1/8 tsp.) It is the powder form and will help support the immune system. If we are talking a young kitten, then I would go with the 250 mg. twice daily to begin. Full grown cats - 500 mg. twice daily to start. Actually, my eye specialist says that the maintenance dose IS 500 mg. twice daily for Herpes kitties. But, I go down to 250 mg. when my Perla is not flaring.
