Hi all! I'm looking for a pet gate to put in my hallway for my 3 month old kitten. I want to create a safe space for her to stay during the day while I'm at work (as opposed to shutting her up in one room). Can anyone recommend one that she can't slip through? I would prefer one that is expandable up to 48" for my largest hallway, but if that is not an option, I can work with a smaller one! Really, I just need suggestions for something that she can't climb under/over/through the bars. Thanks so much in advance!

I can tell you from experience; one gate will not be enough.
Even with a solid panel one you have to consider how high they can jump both now and a few months from now.

We gated a hallway for M&N when we were home but couldn't watch them.  They would climb the gates!  I used 2 pressure mounted gates.  One I put normal and the other I put on top of that one angled in to the hallway.

Having said that; I second checking craigslist or with any friends you have who might have some lying around.  I don't think you'll need anything too expensive; I'm just not a fan of the accordion type gates.  (If those are on the market anymore; I haven't looked in a while.)

Good luck!

We bought a gate for our human vabies. Not sure the name but it was an octagon and you can add to it to make it bigger. *Might* work now... however my 3 month old Mew coul c d easily jump it (but not my other two kittens whovare 2 weeks younger than Mew).
