OK, so, my cat has had kittens for the first time and we are relatively inexperienced owners. We have four kittens. They are one month and a few days old.
One of the kittens, has a genetic problem, so it's being constantly looked after and for the time being (until it undergoes surgery), can only drink milk. Don't worry about him though, he's doing fine - the problem is only until later.

Two others are doing great! They eat soft food when offered, in great amounts, so they are relatively bigger than the other two.

This other one though, only wants to drink milk. He has to start getting used to wet food but will refuse at any cause. We've tried pushing some in his mouth but he just squirms away.

The question is, how will I get it to eat?

Thank you in advance!

Try to get him lick off your fingers.  (Or have somewhat on his fur - if he uses to wash himself, that is...   Nay, try other tricks at first.   :)   )

Entice him with Gerber baby food, stage one or two (both are mentioned by our american forumists) - these with pure chicken or turkey, no additions...

I presume you can also have a mix with his kmr and this wet food, so he gets the taste

Usually they follow the example of mom and siblings...

Good luck!

You can add some kmr to the canned to make it a soupy consistency and heat it slightly. Cats are attracted to the smell of food before the taste, so heating releases the scent. Test it before you offer, to be sure it's not too hot.

Have you tried a few different brands or flavors? Something super stinky or even a bit of water from a can of tuna (just a little) to get him to take a few bites?

I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think he's so old that I wouldn't give him a little more time.

Add anything tasty like salmon oil.My cat loves Fortiflora though ask your vet first. My 2 yr old is only 7 pds and feeding her was not easy til I started putting Fortiflora on her food.My cat,Peaches, walks toward my bedroom, pauses to make sure I'm following, then stops and meows.I put the food down, she eats a little, then does it again til she is in my bedroom..

They're still a bit young to expect them to eat a lot of solids. I do start orphans on solids that young but mother-fed babies aren't in such a hurry. Just keep offering it on a regular basis and he'll get the idea eventually :).
