As much as I'd love to put this solely on China, I don't understand why our FDA allows for wording on labels like "packaged in the US" and other purposefully misleading information.  I remember a few years ago when Fancy Feast made the change in their classics line.  Many of us feeding diabetic cats (and my cat was the queen of picky) were scared out of our minds as to why our cats suddenly stopped eating. 

I don't know why people are still flocking to overpriced jerky treats, but maybe the dog won't eat cooked meat.  I don't know.  But this is sure frustrating for people just trying to be good stewards to their animals.

I agree. Governments need to step in further and make products need to list their sourcing. "Product of Canada" means that 51% of the manufacturing/processing done here along with "the last substantial transformation of the product." It is not enough.
