Hey everyone, I'm Pauly from the While Cliffs of Dover in the Uk. The kitty in the profile pic is Maya, I took ownership of her 8 weeks ago from a close friend but unfortunately, she escaped through a window after 3 nights and we haven't seen her since (I will be posting in SOS section too). Our other kitty is a ginger female called Bobbie.

Welcome to TCS!
I'm so sorry about Maya escaping! I pray others can offer you advice. She is new to you so anything I have to offer is how to find a kitty who knows you.
Good luck!

My happy place.
Hi there :wavey:

I'm sorry to here that Maya escaped. Do your close friends who you got her from live close by? Maybe she has tried to find her way back to her old home. Have you advertised her as missing with your local lost and found website? They will send out an alert to everybody on their system to keep watch for her.
Hope you find her soon.

Hi there,
welcome to TCS from another UK cat person.

I am so sorry your little cat Maya got out through a window of your home, and will have my fingers crossed she finds her way back to you.  She looks very sweet in your avatar picture.

She is extremely cute. I'm really missing our Eskimo kisses (she rubs her nose against mine and pushes her face into mine).

I take it she was not chipped when you adopted her?   I hope you have posters up around where you are and letting everyone know what she looks like in case she is shut in someone's garden shed or anything.

White Cliffs of Dover.... beautiful...been there.

Maybe you can put some food out and she may come back to eat when she is hungry of she may have gone to where she lived. Good idea if you have photos of her to post  them on  poles there. I hope you find  her safe.

Yes I have posters in some shops including the newsmarket which is the only general store in the area so if anyone sees the poster it will be there. Her pictures are on the poster and I have asked people to look in sheds. I can't put up posters on lamp posts though as it's illegal. A guy posted pics of his lost kitty a few years ago and he got sued by the council because he wouldn't remove them, he ended up taking down in the end as he was facing a £4000 fine.

Oh and yes she is chipped. My friend is trying to find her details so we can change it to my contact details. My friend hasn't received a phone call yet though.

It is good that she is chipped and as not your details your friends are still up to date.  I really hope you hear about her soon and it is good news.

Well it's been so long since I posted on here. Thought I'd share the good news that we received a phone call Thursday from a stables/kennels. They have had Maya living there for about 8 weeks and it was only when they decided to take her to the vets to scan for a chip the info showed her as LOST. So she was out there for 14 months running around or living from house to house. She appears a little feral but will let my friend stroke her but she goes manic when we try to put her in a carrier so we're getting a cat sitter/behaviourist to spend a day with her. Hopefully we'll be bringing her home after the weeknd and hope she remembers her old home. She looks exactly the same as the day she left, just a little longer in the fur.

I implore all cat owners to please microchip your cats. You never know when you may need it.
