Good afternoon, or good morning to those of you in other parts of the World.

I'm taking my first trip to North America this month and I'm looking forward to checking out the pet stores and finding some nice souvenirs for my kitties. But I need some advice on what to spend my dollars on, so I'd like to know....

What's the best thing you ever bought for your cats?

It's actually evening here..

Definitely their cat enclosure... they just love their bit of the outdoors.

Not something you would bring back from the States, though.

If I were going there I would bring back some treats we don't get here that my SS from two years back sent to me - Kitty Kissers (you can read my review!)

They have the added bonus of being very lightweight.

Ooh, this is tough... I haven't bought too much for them, but out of what I have, these two get the most use:

http://www.thecatsite.com/products/toys-r-us-tunnel-pop-up-cat-toy/reviews/4382 - apparently this is a Petsmart exclusive

http://www.thecatsite.com/products/max-co-super-kitty-sprokets/reviews/4381 - I've seen these at Pet Valu, but am unsure if they're available elsewhere

Kismet LOVES this though, and if anyone feeds dry, it's a good way to get them moving with the motivation of food:

Out of the box, it's not great. It lets food fall out way too quickly, so with one bat, all the food could fall out at once regardless of where it was placed in the toy. I've used duct tape to make little flaps that get in the way of food falling out.. but it was so inexpensive compared to some of the other treat balls I've seen that I can't even be mad.

Where are you visiting?  My cats LOVE stuff that make noise like crinkle balls.  And anything that they can throw in the air.

The favorite toys in this house are Da Bird, the Cat Dancer and of course the laser pointer.

For treats the favorite is Kitty Kaviar; though I haven't bought any in a really long time!

Thanks for all the great ideas. I'm definitely going to be coming home with a suitcase full of cat treats, they all love anything that's different from their every day food.

I like the idea of a treat dispenser too. Little Boy is starting to put on weight, I think he needs something getting him moving around more.
