Facebook's security bloke, Gregg Stefanick , as been touting their security measures after the eBay incident.

I think this is a worry for anyone using any type of social media today. ohwell.gif I do not use FB but certainly this is good to know and will pass this along to friends/family. wink.gif

Interesting. Big services like social networks and stores should be as secure as humanly possible, but sometimes stuff happens. Like @Feralvr said, it's a concern regardless of how much the companies do (or say they do) to protect us. People should be on the watch for their own security and limiting the amount of personal information they share, and what's more, they should be teaching youth to be equally cautious. I have family members and friends who are constantly checking into places, detailing all of their personal information and their favourite this-and-that. Not the most wise, IMO...

My husband's cousin posted pictures of his family with their suitcases in front of their house the day they left for a two-week vacation. rolleyes02.gif

Some people just don't think.  I think there is a tendency for people to think that only their friends and family will see what they post.
