My tuxedo kitten, Gunther, has been sick the past two days. The vet says he mightve eaten something bad. His vomit was clear and foamy yesterday, but today it looked like his cat food. and his stools are "cow patty" like, and it smells like moth balls. When he does eat, he throws it up. I don't know what's wrong :-((

Personally it sounds to me like your vet is not being proactive enough. I would be doing a stool sample, probably sub Q fluids, possibly an anti nausea medication and possibly some Meds like flagyl to help retore GI balance. To just say that your cat "ate something bad" sounds uninformed and not diagnostic.

I agree - if your vet brushed it off, I would seek a second opinion who's willing to try more diagnostics to determine exactly what may be wrong.

I agree.  You need to see a different vet.  It could be anything from a virus to a blockage.  Both need to be treated quickly.  If you have an ER vet in your area, go there.

Hi, I also agree that your cat needs to see another vet asap! Did your cat have access to moth balls? Does or did your cat have access to anything toxic? Any plants? Does he go outside? Don't bother to answer now. Really get your cat to a vet as things will only get worse without proper.

Good luck and let us know what happens at the vet.

Thanks everyone! He's doing better now, I only gave him the medication the vet gave me, and he's perfectly fine :)
