We just adopted two kitties from our local shelter, Maisy, who is about 6 years old and in good health, and Twix, who is younger than 2, recently spayed, recently a mother and very frail.  She has conjunctivitis and ear infections.  We took them to the vet as required by the shelter and the girls got rabies vaccinations and distemper boosters today.

Twix got her ears cleaned out (they were really bothering her) and now we are supposed to put drops in her ears 2x a day and put ointment in her eyes 3x a day. She is a real sweetie but she is so frail due to all her current ailments.  She doesn't feel good all the time, so is it good to give her all these medications especially after she has had the shots?

The girls are not eating very well, which doesn't hurt Maisy because she is plumpish, but Twix needs all the nourishment she can get.

How do we help Twix? We have had her for 2 days and just love her.

I administered both eye and ear drops to my cat shortly after he received both rabies shot and FVCRP shot, with no adverse consequences that I am aware.

Her appetite may be off kilter since she's in new surroundings?  Maybe put some tuna/sardine juice, or cheese toppers on her food to get her interested, good luck.

Thank you!  The sardine juice will surely help.  Right now we are trying to keep her as warm as possible, poor little thing.
