Mama cat just had 4 kittens four days ago, they seem very healthy and are eating fine. Last night at some point she moved them from the bed that I bought her to under my five year olds bed. I have two three year olds anda five year old in this house so anywhere but my rooms isn't safe for them, so I moved them back. Now tho the mama keeps wanting to leave the room and not go back, and keeps looking at me and just meowing. What am I missing? She has hard and soft food, water and milk. Also a litter box in the same room. I have been spoiling her but can't understand what she is trying to tell me, any hints??

Maybe its the smell of human babies/young kids, or that in the wild, feline mothers move their babies every so often to keep them from dangers like other cats. Maybe Mama doest feel safe in your room anymore and wants to move herself and her babies away

If you want to stop her wandering and moving, the only sure way is to confine her to one room.  close off the room...

But I understand you.  What if she really wants to tell you something??   So even under the bed of the 5 years old is better than in your room??   Scary.

Anyway, a sort of rule of thumb is, obey the mom.... take care of the mom, and she will take care of the kittens.

Had you changed the bedding?  They prefer clean bedding, and a change even every day is wise.

Good luck!
