I just ordered a bottle of this online.. should be here in a couple days. I am curious to know who uses this and what does it do exactly? I read that it helps keep the immune system strong in the kitties and that its ok for every day use?

With Zoey's recent bout with antibiotics I figure it cant hurt to try it

We started using it back in March, and it's been great. We add 2 drops to their drinking fountain when we change/add the water.

When we started it, Romeo had a cold and was on Clavamox, and the other cats were starting to sneeze. A week later, there was no sneezing! Everyone's been pretty healthy since.

Wow that sounds great Sue. Clavamox is not agreeing with Zoey
I envy everyone that has never had a problem with Clavamox.

So what problems with Clavamox did your cat have??? I think it threw my little Spikey's GI System SOOOOO off balance!! My poor little guy!!! He IS starting to get better. My new Vet ran bloodwork and said it looked real good, except the pancreas showed there was some irritation going on in the GI system. He has had diarrhea for a few weeks, since being on the Clavamox. I have been now giving him the Canned Pumpkin and Yogurt. His new Vet put him on Flagyl, in case he had an unfound Parasitic thing going....AAAKKKKKKK!! Did you EVER try to get Flagyl into a cat???!!! It tastes SO awful and poor Spike is going ballistic with it!!!! I just want my poor little kitty to feel GOOD again!!

Most of the members know I use it. I use it with my cats, my dog and my horses and have admirable results from it. I also take it myself and have not had a cold or flu in over 2 years. I take 2 drops in orange juice every day.

Diarrhea and loss of appetite mainly. Even a bit of vomiting

It is so bitter and nasty! That's why I put it in water or orange juice or canned food for the cats. And I be sure and mix it up really good. When you put a drop in the water in about an hour you will see what looks like a piece of grapefruit skin floating around.

I'll be seeing too. Your note reminded me that I meant to order some to try - I'm tired of suddenly having the flu and pneumonia and pleuritis the past 3 years
and I'm going to try it with my guys to boost their immunity.

I don't think it can hurt, and it sure might help.

I can't say why it works, just that it does. As a previoulsy chronic sufferer of pleurisy, bronchitis, pneumonia and strep throat, I surely do not miss the joys of an URI!

Cool. From reading the info it seems they only need 1 drop anyway.

Hissy,
Where do you purchase yours: online or at a store? Sounds good, for animals as well as people.
Thanks

I order it through a local health food store in town, but you can get it off the internet as well.

In case anyone would be interested, this is the brand recommended to me, and it's currently on sale. (choose priority mail shipping, it's actually their least expensive choice).
Nutriteam Grapeseed Extract

Just got my extract in the mail today. I have dosed all the water bowls with one drop and stirred. Lets hope they drink it

I guess in their food would probably be best though.

I'm scared to try it myself
I wonder if I can put it in my coffee? I dont drink juice.

Someone I know on another board was concerned that you shouldnt give your cats "oils" or "citrus" and that essentially that's what Grapefuit Seed Extract is
How do I explain that its good for them? My bottle is like 60% Citricidal (extract from grapefruit pulp and seeds) and 40% vegetable glycerine.

Sicy, I just found this thread from searching for GSE. Just curious if it helped Zoey at all and if they actually drank the water.

Does anyone know if it helps prevent bladder infections in felines? Tiki is constantly getting them & thought I'd do some research in this product.
Thanks!
