Good morning all! Well it's early here (4:41am) and I'm up but at least I slept a solid 6 hours! It's better then 3!

I go to the doc today to get the results of the CT scan of my sinuses. At this point I'm all for the surgery if it will help. I'm very tired of this!

More snow expected today. We sure need it and you've never seen a whole state so happy to have snow everyday for the last week! Many of the ski resorts are opening several weeks earlier then originally planned. They've had over 70 inches of snow in many areas of the mountains.

Things are moving along with my car. we've gotten all my receipts in to Claims Management.

Today has to be a cleaning day. I didn't vacuum since Sunday and that's not a good thing with all these long hairs living in here!

Have a good one folks! Peace-Out!

Today I can empathize with your sinus problem. I woke up and could breathe out of my nose. Now 1 side is clogged the other is like a tap! I am sitting at work and I am fuzzy headed and can't think. Oh well. I am only here for 3 more days before I go to the new job. Watched a nasty mayoral debate last night. Man were they attacking the front runner. The moderator kept pretty good control, unlike their last TV debate which was out of conrol. Right now I just can't wait for the election to be over next Monday. I am tired of the spin doctoring!

Right now I don't really have anything to add because I can't think.

Good morning all!

I am so sore this morning! I did a body pump workout with a different instructor who is more thorough and made sure I did it all right, and I felt the burn! OUCH!

Hubby is going to help a friend with putting a new roof on his new garage - they have the most gorgeous cabin business - little log cabins all over the place. Unfortunately she is selling it

Its raining here, boo!

Hey does anyone know about the right battery size for vehicles? We bought a Jeep Cherokee Grand Laredo, 1994 with only 98,000 miles, and the battery died - the previous owner said that it had a new one, so when we looked at it, it was only 550 - shouldnt it be higher?
One reason it died was because we had not driven it for two weeks.

And! Jake got the new insurance bill and they charged him $1500 for a year, which was way too ridiculous, so he got in touch with this person who is a cousin in law of a friend and he save us more than half! Apparently the other insurance company put him on the botton of the record thingy, even though Jake has NO points, he has a squeaky clean driving record, and the new insurance guy thinks that they were ripping him off because he is deaf
But I am glad we found someone else. Whew!

I hope you all have a wonderful day!

I am sharing the sinus suffering around here. Do you think we all got a cold from each other? I am taking sinutab, hoping that my ears don't get clogged up too, and so far they are almost fine. I hate colds!

But, I am wearing my new fall clothes, big comfy turtleneck, wool jacket, nice warm cords, so that is something nice.

I didn't watch the mayoral debates, but saw the news clips. I was at a party on Saturday for some of the campaign workers for the front runner, and they were all pretty excited about the positive response they are getting talking to voters. Not too excited, they know its a long haul to get through the last week, but I really hope he wins. But the gloves really come off now, don't they!

Movin' on up!
We've got mucky-mucks, from corporate, coming in today. That means best behavior and wearing the company polo shirt. Woo-hoo!

Our mayoral election was yesterday. The mayor kept his job (good) and the three City Councilmembers, who were up for re-election kept theirs, too (bad). A former mayor was running against Mayor Walkup and, fortunately, most people remembered what the other guy was like, from before.

Rowdy has been acting as if the moon was full, for the past few days. I don't know what's gotten into her. She's ripping and tearing around the house, getting into everything. She's even been stealing the dogs' toys.

Its getting colder. Our daytime highs are in the low 70s and overnights are low 40s. We haven't had to turn on the furnace, yet but Bill, Buddy and I make a big lump in the middle of the bed. I may get to wear my new jacket, sooner than I thought.

I agree - I hope he wins (go Miller). If any of the other candidates get elected the want to contract out city services and my hubby is a city employee - his job is in jeopardy if Miller doesn't win!

Oh, I hope Miller wins too. He seems like the only sensible one there. Do the others really plan to contract out city services? Don't they know that doesn't work????

Good Morning!

I have only to work today and tomorrow and then I'm off until Tuesday. I'm a little worried about traveling this weekend, as snow is predicted on Friday. I'm going to see my best friend Paula and my Goddaughter Halley. Halley has been sick, but Paula says she is so excited about us coming down. My sister, Kathleen, is coming with me. We are having a "ladies only" (Halley included - even though she is only 7) weekend. I hope the next two days go by fast.

They only think of the immediate bottom line. The trash collection in Etobicoke was contracted out before amalgomation and now it costs more then the city run collections. And the service is horrible! I think that the city workers will respect Miller and that she make for smoother negotiations at contract time!

Good Morning all! Feel a lot less stress than I have been feeling in weeks. I guess it is because it is getting close to the end of the semester and I really don't care what I make on these last few assignments. Argh! I guess I really do, but being less stressed and knowing the material actually helps!

The office has been slowing down a bit, I guess because Thanksgiving is right around the corner. 3 more weeks from tomorrow!! Wow, I get 4 days off from work! Yippie! I am still battling to have a vacation day on December 26. They want me to come in that ONE day, even though I will be off from December 23-January 2!!! That makes me a little mad
I am trying to switch days with the Saturday receptionist. I would rather work Jan. 3 instead of having to come in for ONE day during my week and half vacation!! GRRR! I ordered 2 gifts online through ABC distributing and they cancelled one of them which also kind of ticked me off...so I went ahead and cancelled the other gift. Now, I have to figure out what I am going to get those people! Ah, the fun of shopping!! hehe....I know my in-laws want a Pug for Christmas...but I don't think we will be getting them that since they are about $400-500!!

Have a great Hump day everyone!

Morning, another sinus sufferer here. But I know who the culprit is, a little white kitten who decided to try and sleep so near my face last night, that all I did was breathe fur most of the night. I would move her and she would go right back. It was so cold last night, 13 degrees, I guess she wanted to stay close. I had another one on my hip and one at my side. Woke up this morning so stiff I took a Jacuzzi early in the a.m. Love taking one, it is just the walk back to the house that kills me! BRRRRR!

Going to make an appointment to get the trips spayed- it is about that time for it.

Hope all of you have a good day

Well I went to the ENT doc and I do have to have surgery on my nose and sinuses. Need to have my septum straightened and a turbinate chisseled!
Also have a couple of cysts in some of my sinuses that need to be taken care of. It's scheduled for November 18th. He said he can't say it will take care of all my sinus probs but that it definately will help. So there ya have it! Straight off the press! I'm in the mangement office right now looking for work but thought I'd throw this note in real quick.

My sister had this done a few years ago, and although she hated the aftermath (being plugged up with gauze and cotton) she said after it was all said and done, it was the best thing she ever did for her health.

My mom also had this done back in the Spring. It has helped her tremendously. Now, only if she could get rid of her asthma.

Just got home from work, and I'm stalling - I am going to go for a very chilly walk. I need the exercise, and am going to try to walk all through the winter, as long as a) I can get through the snow, and b) the wind chills are not dangerous. I have to watch the dogs when it gets too cold out also, so they don't freeze their paws.

Then I think I am going to try to get through the HUGE pile of papers that needs to be filed, shredded, recycled, etc. Does anyone else find themselves completely buried in junk mail, etc. every few weeks?

Hubby works late tonight, so it will be quiet around here this evening.
