Hello there.

One of my cats has recently come down with a case of conjunctivitis. I took her in as soon as the green goop appeared and the doctor prescribed her the triple antibiotic  Neomycin and Polymyxin B Sulfates and Bacitracin Zinc.

This tiny tube cost me something like $40.... Were this to happen again, is there a 'human pharmacy' equivalent that I could give? I know some medication you can get from a pharmacist, rather than a vet and it works the same. Vets around here seem... funny, when asking about medication (kinda snobbish, actually).

Thanks everyone.

I do not know of the human equivalent to the pet Neo/Poly/Bac ointment. The tube should last you a long time. Most people put way too much ointment in the cats eye. Only a teeny amount is needed just in the lower or upper eyelid. Hope you kitty feels better very soon.

Thank you; that is excellent info.

She'll be happy to know that her Person will be careful to not get as much in her eye.
