I have not been on this site since 2012 when I had my cat Merlin. He ended up getting an obstruction in his bladder and at the time I didn't have the money to help him. But thanks to a few people on this site, I was able to get him the vetinary care he needed and he pulled through it. So if you are still on this site and remember me, thank you so much for that. I ended up divorcing my husband and my neighbor took my cat and cared for him properly. Anyway, two years later I am once again the mother of cats. I took on two new kittens for my daughters. One kitten is about five months and the other one is about 9 weeks. The five month old had diarrhea the moment I got him and I thought, no big deal, he is probably just doing that because he is in a new environment and on a new diet. But then it wouldn't go away and he only grew more and more tired. Now his barely eating and drinking and he has blood in his stool. As well as it being completely runny. Well, today I am taking him to the vet and I just was requesting that you all keep him in your thoughts and prayers that if it is distemper that he will survive it. I am hoping we are catching it early and the distemper or whatever it is won't win.
Unfortunately neither kittens came with shots but that is the risk I took when taking them into my home. I refuse to let my kitten suffer though. My other kitten will be starting his shots tomorrow.
