Mornin' Everyone. It's 6:20 am here and I'm surprised no one has started a daily thread yet. Maybe I just didn't see it??

I woke up with a killer sinus headache and my sinuses bleeding like crazy. My daughter decided to sleep upstairs and turned the heat up to 71. I can't sleep with it above 66 degrees.

Slept hard and had weird dreams. I must have moved a lot in my sleep because all the kitties except Peaches were off my bed when I woke up!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Movin' on up!
Gee, its 6:20 here, too. I woke up, with Buddy snuggled next to me and Rowdy peering at me, from the nightstand. Opie is hanging out in the laundry room. There's a basket of clean clothes, that I forgot to put away and he likes to sleep in them.

It is 41 degrees and we're looking for a high of 76. If the wind stays calm, it won't be too bad.

I think that the new pillow is working - I can turn my head, this morning without howling in pain.

Pearl brought me her purple tennis ball, first thing. Sure, I want to play "fetch", at 6:00 a.m.
I hadn't even had my first cup of coffee. Silly doggie!

I hope your sinuses get better quick!

4 days left here at this job then off to my new one. I have alot to do before then, but I can't seem to get motivated. May have something to do with the Panda cam!

Something is bothering me but I don't know what. Do you ever get the feeling in your chest that something isn't quite right. I am edgey and feel disgruntled. I don't know what it is and I am racking my brain trying to figure it out!

Anyone watch Fear Factor last night. Those girls were weenies - at least the didn't have to eat that stuff, just transfer it with their mouth.

Hope everyone has a good day!

7:49 right now, cold as the dickens. Just went outside to find some mighty anxious ferals waiting for dinner. I have stopped feeding at night. I am not happy with the decision, but we cannot deal with the skunk anymore. The only way to get the skunk to leave is to stop providing food at night for it to stay.
So I fed the guys and apologized then went out to grain the horses. I was happy to see Kabota in the group, he has been missing for a few weeks now!

I have to laugh at Noddy girl, she lays on the top of the cat condo near the entrance to the kitchen. When we pass by and don't stop and talk to her, she meows and rolls over and bats her paws in our direction. She does this every time, to darn cute! Mike has taken to chanting before he passes her doorway-"Greetings Guardian of the Portal...I ask permission to pass..." LOL I know, I know, I live in a nuthouse!

I love that - it is so cute! You better ask for permission or she will zap you with a magic spell!

Just got back from the gym - had a tough session of body pump, my whole body was shaking!!!!

Going to Sam's Club to get some stuff and then get the groceries. I lead such an exciting life.

Have a great day all!

Greetings Cat Lovers!

I have been away and I've missed everybody.

Tammie, Sorry that you are having problems with your sinuses. Sending get well wishes your way.

Ady, I know what your talking about. That sinking feeling of impending doom. Yuk!

The drive home from Minneapolis was very scarry. First Minneapolis was having a snow storm (I'm so glad my brother-in-law was driving). Then I drove from Duluth to home and we had to keep our eyes peeled for deers. We saw 20 deers on either the side of the road or just about to run acoss the road. One deer was standing in the middle of the road! We got home at 8PM. Max attached himself to me as soon as I walked in the door. He even let me hold him while I kissed him over and over. He was not happy when I walked out the door this morning to go to work!

I'm so glad to be home. I hope everyone has a good day!

Is it just me or is it quiet like a ghost town here today?

Ilook out my window in the morning and see the neighbour's house. At work I look out and see another building. Unfortunately Toronto is getting to be like a concrete jungle. At least I live near a park.

It's just past midnight so technically I should be starting a Wednesday thread - but I know for many of you it's still Tuesday so I'll just carry on here...

Have been having a heat wave for the past 4 days and it's been taking its toll on me. With the baby sitting so low, I'm having pains and cramps in my lower abdomen and lower back. I used to think it might be "it" but looks like he's taking his time now... I wish there was some way to hurry him now - I want to try a natural birth so I'd rather do it now when he's smaller.

Ron's been very very needy and clinging these past 2 days. I think it's some sort of backlash on the time he had to spend away from me while I was on bed rest. He refuses to go to his grandparents in the morning (like he used to), so I have to go running around the house looking after the sweet little devil. He's at the stage now when he's trying to climb over things so I can't let him out of my sight for a minute. That, combined with my big ol' belly and the constand heat is really wearning me down. I didn't do any work today and felt so bad about it I decided to stay up after ron went to be and catch up on some work.

That's it - I'm done whining!
They say the heat wave ends tomorrow so maybe that'll make me feel better. Wish I could trade the weather here with you guys!

Anne!! So sorry to hear all of this. I know with my sis n law, her son became clingy and needy towards the end of her pregnancy, even the day of the delivery LOL!!! But he got over it, for now....
Well the docs here say to have lots and lots of 'intimacy' with your hubby if you want to rush things
or walk or leg squats, which I did with my first one, that actually sped up my dilation and contractions even though I ended up with c-section due to his big ole' head LOL! But with my bestfriend who had your same condition, she went full term but luckily delivered before they wanted to 'induce'.
Take it easy, drink lots of water. (((hugs)))

There's no place like home
I woke up to 68 degrees and it quickly dropped to about 45 here. Time to pull out the extra blankets!

Got the fosters back from their vetting Monday afternoon and put up the open mesh gate to the door to their introductions room. So far Dakota appears to be the house ambassador - playing with all 3 of them thru the mesh. Scarlett and Koko are put off by Billie (how DARE I bring another female in this house?), but doing OK.

Going to a humane society meeting tonight.

I have a pretty bad headache tonight, better go take some Tylenol...

I had a busy day at work today - I like busy days MUCH more than slow ones. Then came home and finished up a project I was sewing. Also ran to the library to pick up some books that were in, including Kiln People, which we're reading for the TCS book club. So I can get started on that tomorrow.

It's only 6:30, and I'm trying to come up with a good reason to go to bed. I hope I'm not getting sick - almost everyone that I work with has had terrible colds for a couple of weeks now.

Pretty quiet evening, all in all...

Well, Anne, if the "Don't Come Yet" vibes worked for you, may be some "Come Meet Mommy" vibes will work too.

I am SO ready to go home. OK, so I'm not actually going home, but that's later in the post.... Yesterday my monitor at work went out. The red tube blew, so everything had a lovely blue-green tint to it. Gave me a monster headache looking at that thing all afternoon, which magically disappeared as soon as I didn't have to anymore. So this morning I had NO desire to do any work on the computer until the IT guy got me a new monitor. (Which my supervisor totally understood - just looking at the screen for a few seconds made her naseous.) I didn't get the monitor until after lunch, but the whole motivation thing still hasn't kicked in!

And to top it all off, hubby informed me today that we have tickets to the Avalanche/Wild game tonight!
So I really just want to GO! Should be a good game, especially since the Wild were the team that beat us in the playoffs. Club level tickets again, which are SO nice. (That's the level where if you don't have tickets, you don't get to even take the special escalator. The whole level is carpeted, they have actual bars and restaurants, as well as the crappy overpriced arena food. They actually have waitstaff who come to your seats!) Needless to say, I am PSYCHED about the game tonight!!!
