I guess I should properly introduce myself now that I've figured out how everything works here. I live in Massachusetts and am currently attending the PhD program at a university there. I adopted two female kittens two weeks ago from a local animal shelter there and both (littermates) have cerebellar hypoplasia - but that only makes them funnier and cuter, and they don't seem to know that they even have the condition. They're a handful, but they're also really sweet and I look forward to spending the rest of their lives with them.

This site is really friendly and helpful and I look forward to meeting new friends and learning about cats. Thank you!

Welcome to the site :wavey:

Wow that's great that you have taken on these two kitties with this problem. Did all the kittens in the litter have it or just these two ?

Please tell us more about them if you don't mind.
So do they shake when they walk and have tremors ? Does it get worse when they are excited?

Sorry for all the questions, it's just it is quite rare and it's fascinating to hear about :D
Oh and we would love to see some pictures ;) We love pics on here

This is Coco. You can see her tiny pink tongue sticking out. I normally find her lying on the ground as that's the most comfortable position. She's actually the more hyper and outgoing one and seems to be completely unhindered by the wobbling and tremors.

And this is Alix, in her "it's not easy being adorable" position. I don't know if you can see them very well, but she has gorgeous baby blues.
I think she looks like a white tiger.

Sorry for the long post.

Your babies are adorable! They remind me of my cat and her sister. Sassy is DSH white/tabby and Molly looks like a lynx point hemi (DLH.)

I am so happy you are giving these two a wonderful home; and, cannot wait to hear more about them!

They are beautiful :heart3:

Love the pictures they are both very photogenic, from what I can tell Coco is a beautiful brown tabby :D and I do believe that Alix is lynx point ( tabby point ) ;)
