We put a deposit on a new vehicle last night and we are most likely picking it up tonight. I am still a little  because it is happening so fast.

I've only picked out a color for a new vehicle a few times in my life. My first car in college was gray and used, so no choice. My next car was a used white car, so no choice. My next car was new, but it was an end of model year with limited color choices and we got maroon. My next new car was also end of model year with limited choices and I got a bright red. The last few new vehicles my husband chose the colors because he was going to be the primary driver and they were black and then dark green which is what I am driving now.

This is the first time in my life I have had the option of every color available and it was my choice :lol3: I went with a light, blue/green.

What color is your ride?

How exciting!

My car back home is silver. My mom bought it new from a dealership in 2002, but then she won a silver 2005 (or was it 2006?) SUV from the casino and gave her car to me.

My eldest brother likes red. His first two cars were red, then he got a black car. My dad has had a beige, navy, and silver car, but his current one is black. My older brother's first car is blue. He wanted to be different. ;) We picked silver largely because it's harder to see dirt of either shade on it, hahaha.

My boyfriend's car, which is my ride most of the time now, is like a dark greeny turquoise. He didn't have an option.. he tends to send a friend and get cars from auctions.

Oooh nice!  My current car is silver.

All of my cars have always been silver (or formerly silver...that's how little paint my very first car had left! lol) or black.  We've just always chosen from what is one the lot because we've had better deals that way.  We've only had 2 brand new cars ever anyway; though DH's car before that was only a year old when he got it.

Congratulations   When I have a choice I usually get white.  It seems like they show little dings and swirl marks less than other colors.  The darker colors especially really seem to show all the little imperfections that a car gets over time no matter how careful I am.

Mine's red. I've had silver/white cars for 27 years, I didn't want to see another silver car.
Plus red cars really stand out in winter. No accidents so far!

My first car was light blue.
Second car teal blue
Then a brown and beige pickup
Then a green pickup
And currently metallic dark blue car.
I don't like blue but all vehicles were used and good deals.
My hubby got a new truck in 2007 that we still have its grey and charcoal grey I like it. It was the one on the lot. To order custom color would've cost more. Thankfully we both like grey.

According to Subaru, it's "Deep Cherry Red". Looks dark purple to me! I like the color, but I'll never buy it again. I call it the "Chameleon Car"--it looks black, dark blue or brown, and is hard to find in the parking lot. I've also had people with the same car in those other colors try to get in, thinking it was theirs!

This is the exact color I have, including the ivory upholstery--I really love this car--the looks, the ride, everything!  The front end is cool--if you look at it head-on, those headlights look like a Samurai's eyes/eyebrows in a Japanese woodblock print.

@MargeCat That looks purple to me too!  lol  DH likes those too.  We have an Outback now and he definitely wants another Subaru when it's time to give up his current car.  I needed something bigger to haul our kiddos around.  We do love the Outback!

@BBDOLL22 sorry about your husband's truck!!  Car repairs are no fun!

People think I am nuts because I pick cars by color.  I currently drive a GMC Jimmy and it is blue.  I bought it used 12 years ago and knew that I was going to buy it before I even drove it because of the color.

Currently I am shopping for a replacement because family and friends think I need something newer.   I have just about decided on what I want but the dealer only had black in stock and they don't do dealer trades.  So I am waiting for the right color to come in.  Since I am buying new and spending so much money I don't want to settle for something I don't really like.

My current car is a purple Ford Escort.

I bought it from my friend when she upgraded to a "kid car"

Purple is her favorite color.  Luckily, it's mine too.

There is no mistaking my car in a parking lot... it's a tasteful dark purple, but it IS purple.

I love red cars! My last car, which I had for 16 years, was a red Plymouth Neon. Hubby likes red, too. His newest car is a red Jeep Liberty.

Ours (a Passat station wagon) is black. After we brought it home and saw it parked in the driveway we realized it resembled a hearse. We had a choice between black, white, silver and light green. Our last two cars had been silver and white, respectively, and neither of us liked the green's beige interior, so we got the black.

Congrats on the new wheels, Karen! Are you naming your car?

My 2001 PT Cruiser (Clarence) is red with a grey interior.

My 2012 Hyundai Tucson (Hannah) is also red with a grey interior. When I bought the Tucson, they had to go looking for the red vehicle because, at the time, it was pretty rare. They really pushed the gunmetal grey vehicle that was in the showroom and the guy even said he'd put a garnet red strip down the sides. But I kept at it and they finally found my red Tucson. Haven't regretted it at all.

I just love red cars (and evidently, grey interiors). The best cars I've had have all been red.

Rick's Toyota Tundra is a gorgeous blue (I think the color of his truck is beautiful) with a blue interior.

Congrats on the new car!

In my case, my husband found my car and purchased it used--but it had only been titled to a dealership, so was a rental or loaner car--and was a good deal.  So the car color is what it is.  But no one knows what it is.  On one piece of paperwork, it is called 'Tan'.  On another piece of paper, it is 'Harvest Wheat', yet another says 'Gold'.  When time came to register it,, the clerks couldn't decide either, so we compromised on 'Tan'.  When it had to go in for some minor body work, the auto body people declared it was 'Silver'!

A friend of mine, who has a similar colored vehicle, when asked what my car's color is, screwed her face into a question mark, and replied"....well, it's sort of a 'Pewter'...."

My car is silver with light grey leather.

My truck is Amazon green (looks like army green) with olive and grey interior.

Thank you! I don't normally name them, but Aaron does. I haven't heard a name from him yet. :lol3:

Here it is from earlier today
