Hi all, I'm new so hello to everyone. :-)
I've just got a 1year old puss, he's chipped and am going through the change of details etc. now, I was told he was a persian, but he doesn't have the characteristics of the traditional 'flat'face that I've seen. Maybe he's just a longhaired something or other? The paperwork states the code is psh? I can't find what that means!

He is very handsome :D

I don't see any Persian either :D He would be classed as a domestic longhair DLH

Although if I had to pick a breed he most resembles I would say probably a Norwegian Forest cat ;)

Hmmmm..........could be a mix up with cats or maybe it is meant to be DSH ( domestic shorthair ) but that would be wrong anyway :dk: He is definitely a longhair DLH......... So I don't know

Heureka!  I think I got it. It could be Persian SHirazi....    Which would explain everything.   :)      Shirazi Persian is a sort of old type persian, quite common in some countries like Pakistan, Arabia, etc... Countries in south-west Asia, so to speak.

The  remaining questions is, what association gave this certificate?   What country do you   Stella live in?

Thanks everyone and thanks StefanZ. My sister in law was given the cat by the owner who also gave her the paperwork, as she couldn't keep Baloo we were given him and now need to transfer ownership to us. Everything else on the paperwork makes sense. If its not PSH it could be ASH, the writing is a little difficult I see as its the carbon paper. If he is a true persian, then wow, I'm a vey lucky lady :-)
The paperwork is from the chipping company petlog in the uk.

I've done some more reading up. He definitely had the personality of the shirazi, lots of attention and affection.
