Has anyone heard of a hypo-allergenic cat litter?

Help me out here. I have 7 cats and my 3 oldest ones are having a problem. Mollie Rose (age 7) has had 2 upper respiratory infections in the last 6 months. Casey has the worst case of kitty acne I have ever seen. Marina Mar is the more problematic one. She has an allergy on her ears that no one can seem to identify. Well, they have...are ya ready??? Moderate to marked defuse chronic superficial perivascular and periadnexal hyperplastic texudative dermatitis. Whew! All in one breathe no less. That's the doctors way of saying they're not sure what it is or what is causing it. Anyway, it is a crusting on her ears, which causes scabs. The backs of her ears are bald. A food allergy and earmites have been ruled out. However, thinking back, this allergy is only affecting my 3 oldest cats. I have used "Premium Scoopable Cat Litter" that is sold at Pet Supplies Plus stores for years. 99% dust free. Never had a problem. Then I began adding Fresh Step to the mixture about 6 months back. I am somehow convinced that THAT might have alot to do with it. So, I am going back to just the Premium Scoopable Cat Litter and see what happens. Has anyone heard of a hypo-allergenic cat litter? If so, please let me know.

I have never run into this prob. however have you ever tried that feline pine (I believe that is what it is called) - bit more expensive though. One of the threads said there was a generic though that was a bit cheaper. For allergies try omegga fatty acids - they seem to help with the symptoms at least with dogs - also synergistic with antihistomenes - takes about 3 weeks to notice a difference though.

I've tried feline pine. They don't like it. I'm going to ask my vet about Omega Fatty Acids and see what she thinks. Maybe that would help the dermatitis.
