I know all cases are different but I was wondering if anyone who has had to give their cat a feeding tube to fight fatty liver disease could give me a rough estimate as to how long your cat had the feeding tube in? Also how long until you noticed a change for the better? How long until you noticed they tried to eat on their own?

Like I said I know every cat and case is different but it would be nice to get sortof an idea on average. Thanks everyone!

My guy had his feeding tube for FOUR months.  Unfortunately, that was so many years ago that I don't remember how long it took before he started eating again on his own, but I believe his jaundice started improving within a few weeks.

Hoping by my replying, it will bump this thread up and you will now receive more replies.  If not, just do a search under "Fatty Liver" or "Feeding Tubes" and you will probably find many threads where you can read about different situations and get some ideas of times.

Wow 4 months is the longest I have been told so far but it does give me an idea that it can take longer then expected. I appreciate you responding and bumping my thread :)
