Yes.  Anytime there is a change in color, smell, or consistency, something's going on.  Get him/her to the vet immediately for a check up and for treatment.  They can easily become dehydrated when they have diarrhea.

I agree, and if it's yellow then definitely.

if it happened suddenly, something he/she ate? I had that when the Rogue decided to dig up his kitty grass and eat the (unfortunately heavily fertilized) soil instead. Taught me to be careful with indoor soil... vet visit and blood work showed his kidneys were hard at work detoxifying, and I had to stuff some pills down his throat.

I check with a vet and he said the cat is in good health but can't explain why the cat poop stinks so bad.

Oh and the color has change from mustard yellow to a orange clay color. The vet thinks it might be the breed of cat she is. She is a short-haired grey with a white belly cat and her ears are very straight and stiff. Long tail and she is very thin. She does not have worms.

here are the possiblitis I think what is going on

1 if she is feed cat food with food dye in it that could cause the color changing and could possibly be allergic to the dyes

2 if the food contains corn, wheat, or other grains the cat could have a sensativity to it which the cat could have diarrhea and sometimes funny color stool

3 the cat could be sensitive or allergic to a certain meat in the cat food

4 the cat could have pancreas or ibd ibs parasites etc

if i was you i would go to a different vet
