I will watch over you, my beloved friend. I am free from pain and discomfort now. I am no longer afraid. My bones no longer ache, my muscles no longer strain. My eyes are not dim, my voice has lost it’s croak. I am now the cat I always wanted to be. I will live forever, and I will watch over you.
I will watch you grieve for me. I see now how much you loved me. I see now what I meant to you. When you wake I will watch over you. Look for me in the morning sun and I will bring light to your world. When you sleep I will watch over you. Listen for me in your dreams and you will hear me purr. I will watch you remember me. When you cry at my absence I will cry with you. For know I long to be with you. When you weep in the night I will bring you warmth. If you wake and your face is dry it is I that licked away your tears whilst you slept. When you remember me with happiness I will laugh with you. My laughter is the wind in the field, the crunch in the snow. I am everywhere, and with you always. Rejoice in the time we spent together. It was my life, and I do not regret a moment of it. Cherish the memory of the moments we had. they were precious to me in a way I can never explain. You are my world.
