I'm not overly worried about this but I am curious as to why my ginger girl breathes like this. It's like a huffing or outward snorting motion. She is always purring when she does this. I've had a few cats and never have I seen a cat breathing like this one.

Any ideas?

Hi

Its probably normal if she does this while purring.  Watch her when she is asleep.  Does she do it then? If not, then thats great and probably not a worry, if she does it in her sleep then its a bigger concern.  Does she do it when she isn't purring? If not, then that's also good.  If she only does it while purring then it may be a function of her purr.

This is exactly how my Caesar purrs, as well, so it seems normal to me. He only does it when he's purring.
