Thursday again? Time flies when you are busy!

As some of you know, I am about to go into contract on a Condo. I have an idea of how I want to paint the livingroom, bathroom and kitchen, but I am drawing blank on the bedroom!

My question is.. What color is your bedroom walls? What would you rather have?

We live in an apartment, so the walls were a light yellow when we moved in. I like the light lavender colour my parents have on their bedroom walls, but when we first moved into that house, I chose a light pink for my walls because pink's my favourite colour. I also slept in the bedrooms that had white walls and light blue walls. Since one of our apartment's bedrooms is pretty well devoted to the birds (well, it's my "office" and all my clothes are in here too...), I would love to paint this room a light green, but it's not practical to paint a place when the animals already live here. Too inconvenient to move them just for a few days. I love looking at paint swatches though!

ETA; this might help you pick a colour too: http://freshome.com/2007/04/17/room-color-and-how-it-affects-your-mood/

Mine are tan, like the rest of my condo.  Nothing particularly exhilarating, but a decent color.  But, the previous folks used the flattest matt paint humanly possible.  EVERYTHING absorbs or sticks to the walls, and it's impossible to get some stuff off.  Word from experience, do not go with a matt finish!

Mine are some version of off-white.  Or dirty white, lol!  I may eventually paint them a different color.  I loved the pale coral with antique white bordering of my old farm house's bedroom.  If I still get night shift as I hope to, I may have to choose colors that best suit that.

Our bedroom walls are currently a Light Sage (also the color in my kitchen...I love that color. It's soothing and comfortable to me.) The ceiling is White Sage.

I'd really like to paint the bedroom, but we must wait until the new windows are installed. At that time, I'm looking at a purply color for two of the walls with Light Sage on the other two walls. I have the purply paint chip at home somewhere. Will look for it.

Google Valspar White Sage for the color.

I hope you find a color you love!

Pink.  NOT my choice at all.  Just never got to painting them when we moved in.  I would like a gray with white trim or a dark blue. Actually the "submit" button blue color for replying to a post would be pretty nice:)

I wanted grey walls in the bedroom, but my husband wanted green. I guess it's the lighting in the room but the paint I chose looks green to me, grey to him - neither of us got what we wanted. Go figure.

White.  It feels like our bedroom will be the last room to get painted here.  The bathrooms and hall/foyer are white too; but the rest of the house is done.

I actually have paint chips taped to my bedroom wall.  They've been up at least a year.

I've decided on a light sage green on 3 of the 4 walls.. the 4th wall will have a darker shade of sage green.

My furniture is cream color with gold trim, so the green will look nice with it

Our house back home is deep sky blue, after 14 years of being white. Couldn't stand it anymore last time I went home, so I offered to repaint the whole house, and my parents were happy to let me do all the work.

Now that I live in an apartment, it's white again.
My landlady says I can paint it if I want though, so if I ever decide to, it'll be deep sky blue again. \o/

Mine is a kind of mocha tan, but there is a mauve under tone.  It's been on there for 13 years! It was the first room I painted when I moved in, so time to repaint!!

My mom helped me a few weeks ago repaint my living room & kitchen.  (that's why I haven't been around much lately, I've been working on a "living room make over")

I chose a neutral taupe to go with my new furniture.  It's a little more on the tan side rather than gray, but amongst all the samples

I painted on the wall to choose (6)  I picked a gray I am planning on painting my room. ("Relaxing evening rain" by Valspar). I have 3 different comforters/quilts, so it will go w/ all of them.

That is to strange SwampWitch!
IKR? Our bedding was a light sage color, so I went with a darker sage for the walls, with white trim. Sage is kind of a silvery green... but still. We'd take friends into the room and ask them what color are the walls, and the replies were about 50-50 each way.

Our bedding is all white now, so it doesn't really matter anymore.

When I had my apartment painted 100 years ago it was off White. It's now off off off White.
If I could afford to repaint I'd like a lilac I think.

Ugly white with tiny holes and tiny dots of blood (high up mostly on the ceiling... not sure how he managed it) from my BIL (who died of an over dose).

I have purple paint but.... it is suppose to be for the bathrooms. My dh is not a handyman and is pretty lazy. With my physical disabilities, I can't paint.

I rent an apartment, so the walls are all white. I'd like to have one gray-blue wall  (to match part of my comforter). I like accent walls.

HI there

I have to say that I always do white walls in all bedrooms because I do not like to repaint or do wallpaper

and I can add pillows in colors and comforters against the white walls and a lovely oil painting or cheerful

picture above the bed.

Hardwood floors or carpet look good with White walls.

I just like the way the room is so airy and lots of light

when you use white on the walls..

My experience..over many years..

Sheri
