We took Theodore back to the Vet today, he was really unhappy and growling at us. Good news though, the main Vet is back in town! We were there all of 15 minutes for him to tell us that the plan was to put him back to sleep and express his bladder manually and look at what kind of stream he gets. He is pretty sure he will only see a very fine spray and that the urethra is too narrow. In which case he will then go ahead and redo the uthrostomy now that the swelling and inflammation is all gone. I tried to say that if it fails the 2nd time we'd have to consider having him cross the rainbow bridge and he wouldn't let me finish the sentence lol. He is really confident he can fix Theodore again!

I'm gonna miss my baby yet again but lets hope it's the last time!

I'm going to say a prayer for sweet Theodore!!
That poor baby has been through a lot!
Give Theodore hugs and kisses for me!

Thanks Jodi! Got a phone call back this afternoon. Vet tried to express him and got nothing from it. He redid the uthrostomy and now he's peeing fountains. The opening is nice and wide now and we can pick him up tomorrow!

It's been exactly 2 months since he first got blocked, I can't believe it really! He'll be back to wearing his cone for another 2 weeks but hopefully after that he will be right as rain! It's been a long drawn out process and the vet bill is probably astronomical but he is so worth every penny we are spending on him.

Hopefully he will be home by the time I finish work at 3pm, I'm busting to have my cuddles again lol.

He is doing great! He's peeing a good amount in the boxes and his bladder is small. He seems to have picked up a bigger appetite now too. The wound site looks so much different than the first time in that you can actually see how wide the urethral opening is. The last time you couldn't really see it and it was always scabbing over. I'm confident that it will work this time.

Theodore is still doing really well!! I'm amazed, I haven't seen him like this since before he got sick.  I'm so excited for him and us and we pray he continues to get better and better after he gets his stitches out. He truly looks like a girl cat now and I can definitely see the difference compared to the first time :)

Theodore is home again after having his stitches out today!!

He is still quite groggy but we know that will wear off and they wouldnt have let him come home. He's alert and had some food so he will be fine, he just needs to sleep off the grogginess. The site is a bit red from when they took the stitches out but time will tell. fingers crossed he will now live a long and healthy life!!

I heated up a wheat pack for him because the insides of his ears were cold and he was a bit restless, he is currently snoozing on it hehe.

Thanks Jodie!

He;s back to his normal self this morning as far as we can tell, hanging around washing himself and just getting underfoot lol. We're really happy with the outcome at this stage and i know I said it before but i really pray we don't have to go back. I said to the vet nurse when she brought him out to us that hopefully we don't have to visit for a long time and she said that's okay we don't mind because we love having him here in the clinic! lol.

He  is still back to his normal self, being sillier every day. We were so worried he would have lost his personality but nope it's back in full swing and more!

I will share a video and pics in a few minutes :)

That is great news!!!!
His personality will shine!! He was feeling so bad for so long. I bet he's truly enjoying life!! Kitties are very smart and though he didn't understand all involved he does realize it made him feel better. My Buster Brown, when he first was diagnosed with diabetes, hated me testing his glucose and the shots but now that he realizes it makes him feel better he comes into the kitchen for the testing and shots. He just sits there patiently. They do understand that we are doing what's best for them!! They know we LOVE them!!

Kisses and Hugs Theodore!!!

Wonderful!

And I agree with you, @JodieThierry64. Sebastian is such a good boy with the 5 times I have to pill him every day and sub-q fluids every other day. It does seem like he knows it helps him.
